Ghana’s Black Stars suffered a 2-0 loss against Sudan in Group F of the AFCON 2025 qualifiers on Tuesday.
It is now a second defeat in four games (two draws) for the four-time AFCON winners.
In the first leg played last week, Sudan forced the Black Stars to a 0-0 draw.
The Sudanese team is coached by former Black Stars handler Kwesi Appiah.
Sudan took the lead soon after the hour-mark after making way into the Ghana box, as Ahmed Al Tash hammered a right-footed shot on the edge of the six-yard area.
In the 65th minute Sudan doubled their lead as Mohamed Abdelrahman got on the score sheet.
In response to conceding two goals in rapid fashion, Ghana took the direct route to goal but failed at the final hurdle in doing so.
The result leaves the Black Stars in third place and must win their final two games to stand a chance of qualifying to next year’s AFCON.
At the 2023 AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire, the Black Stars crashed out in the group stage.

When I say this is the worst Ghana team in 50yrs….it’s no gainsaying.
Ghana has not won an AFCON match in the last 10 attempts dating back to 2019 (I stand to be corrected). It really shouldnt be a surprise to keen observers if they don’t qualify for the next AFCON.
How Eguavoen and his 9 dullards couldn’t get the better of this Ghana is still a mystery. Guess it was Karma dealing with us at the time….LMAOooo
Meanwhile….Sudan is being coached by an Ex Ghanian International.
Ndi “they will not give us jobs because we are black”. Who says you can’t get jobs in Africa if you have the right CV…?
That was simply caused by our goalkeeper. Just imagine if we have had Nwabali back then, things would have changed but those olodo keepers really down the moral of the players in previous afcon and the qualifie.. no matter how strong you are, moral go down with olodo goalkeepers
Na keepers dey coach the team abi….? Na keepers no know when Ghana coach change formation for 2nd half of the 2nd leg. Na keepers too no fit score goals from open play over both legs to win the games.
Give the same team with the same keepers to Rohr and he would have beaten this Ghana team home and away in that WCQ playoff.
It took some refereeing abracadabra done for Rwanda a few hours ago to stop him from qualifying Benin republic for 2025 AFCON with 2 games to spare. The referee had to be escorted from the field after the game by more than 10 security officers.
Uzoho was the problem. That goal he conceded was too cheap and unprofessional
So, there’s a rule that says we should not score once we concede right…?
The strikers that couldnt score 1 goal in open play for 180 minutes prior were not the problem.
The Dullard coach who kept playing the only football tactic embossed in his brain for 6 straight games without knowing how to react to his opponents changes in strategy is also not the problem.
Still they laugh
@Monkeypost, how market?
Rwanda 2 – Benin 1. Nigeria still tops group with an outstanding game to play.

Only God knows why Ghana, the banku nation, always have an edge over Nigeria despite the gap between Nigeria and Ghana on FIFA rankings.
Where did the jinx come from? In any qualifier they always pray to be in the same group with Nigeria knowing that anyhow they will qualify whether outright win or away goals rule.
The only time was at the 2002 world cup qualifiers.

Baba Ghana hadn’t any edge against Super Eagles , Super Eagles have won five junior World Cup , have also won an international title it was Atalanta 96 Olympic in USA, SE have played six AFCON. final have won three of them , SE have beaten black jars ( stars) more than them ; SE have qualified more than them ( black jars) SE have qualified six times in 94,98,2002,2010,2014,2018 , but black jars have qualified four times in 2006, 2010,2018,2022 , so here SE have an edege over black jars but black jars have won one youth World Cup , but SE youth team have played two youth World Cup final, but SE have great edege versus black jars is gold Olympic title in Atalanta 96 , but black jars haven’t this great title…
