Former Ghana head coach Otto Addo believes the Black Stars’ AFCON 2023 Group B game against Egypt will be their easiest.
The Black stars have been drawn alongside Egypt, Cape Verde, and Mozambique in Group B at this year’s AFCON.
Addo, who took the Black Stars to the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, explained that the lack of pressure will be the Black Stars’ biggest positive against Egypt.
“I think the easiest game may be against Egypt because their team is very well-balanced,” Addo told GTV Sports Plus, as per KingFut.
“They are the favourites in this game, so it is easier to stand behind when people don’t expect too much from you.
“It’s easier than to play the so-called small countries which are football educated, know how to defend, and it will be very, very tough to break them down.”
The Black Stars will hope to end their AFCON trophy drought after last winning the tournament in 1982.

CSN please could you stop posting any news about Ghana?
Cos there’s a certain nuisance always hovering around the site like a ravenous hawk waiting for any such mention to launch his xenophobic biles and untamed hatred for Nigeria. He would be blind to every post although he’s camping here 24/7, until boom posts like this one.
We know Camerounians, and Beninoise in Nigeria who speak English well are here, and so are Togolese. Zambians too read, so do South Africans. While citizens of these countries are tolerant and read with an open mind and move on, not a certain deranged fellow whose people are mostly morbidly jealous of their bigger and more prosperous neighbors and celebrate any win like a lifetime achievement. Just like when Iran plays the USA. It means everything in the world to them.
Thank you in advance.
Your jealousy is sickening. You are the one who cannot stand the mention of Ghana.Think about how to repair your broken super chickens. Who are you to tell csn what to report on? Go and create your site/platform and decide what to report on. Nonsense!
Stupid post.
Ghana took a more balanced squad to AFCON that Eagles. Besides, CS is not only for Nigerians.
@ Sly: you have finally exposed yourself for what most of us have always known you to be. GHANAIAN IMPOSTER MASQUERADING AS A NIGERIAN.
Ghana imposter? Hehehe. Because I wrote on Ghana squad.
Compare both squad lists:
Ghana:
3 keepers
9 defenders
12 midfielders
3 strikers
Nigeria (for perennial years):
3 keepers
9 defenders
5 midfielders
8 strikers.
What is not Nigerian in writing one squad is more balanced than the other?
Mind you, a striker’s instinct will still prevail even if he is deployed as a midfielder.
8 strikers then for Nigeria and in a case Osimhen And Others. Is that not a miskewed list?
