Troost-Ekong will pair Semi Ajayi and Calvin Bassey in central defence.

I would’ve started Iheanacho ahead of Simon, but Simon gives us balance when defending. Good line up nonetheless. Good luck boys and play your game.
VAMOS ARRIBBA SUPEREAGLES!!!!
Iheanacho is suppose to play ahead of Simon… Moses Simon gives nothing going forward. He is a guy who has never impressed me… No improvement.
I agree with you Jimmy. Simon hasn’t improved any inch since his debut in the National team. Him and Chukwueze are the same. Sometimes fun to watch but erratic decision making. However, in games like these Simon has a way of showing up. I just hope everyone comes to the party today.
Thumbs up brotherman AYTheGr8t. This is exactly the line-up I presented earlier. The boys are rearing to go.
Fly fly fly Super Eagles into infinity and beyond. Vavavoom!!
Simon has told the coach many times he is not a right footer. Coach will not hear. Why would he when he doesn’t know the calibre of players to pick in the first place.
Two lefters playing left and right. Sorry Osimhen
Simon hasn’t even been good on the left side. Lmao!! His games so far have been vibes and insha allah. Lookman is our best player on the left side of attack even though he’s a right footed player who can use both feets effectively.
However, as a coach I will prefer Simon on the right instead of Chukwueze. Obviously, it should’ve been Iheanacho, but I leave the coach to do his job. I’m not in camp with them.
Lol. No to Chukweze any day sha
Good line up let’s go win this one. Nigeria 2-0
Why can’t he start senior man Kelechi Iheanacho in place of Iwobi? Iwobi fades off afterwards in all matches so far.
Senior man is not a starter but super sub…d lineup is ok… let’s wish them well…
Good lineup
Bravo’s lineup. Let go and do it super eagles of naija
Things have definitely been crazy lately, but Eagles are crushing this tonight!
Moreso, recognising our team with encouraging compliments is a high impact and costs nothing. When they feel appreciated, their wellbeing improves, as does engagement and productivity. Happy guys, a productive team, pls do this for us, your fans. Cheers!
There’s something between this clueless Peseiro and Kelechi Iheanacho. But he forgets that coaches get hired and fired but players remain. Goodluck to Super Eagles anyway
Watching Angola’s game…omo see finesse…dat 3rd goal not sure our own would have buried dat
Osimhen, with his brilliance does not score such stylish goal. I wonder why he cannot curve ball like that. Such a classic goal.
I just don’t want to get ahead of myself, but this Angolan side looks really good. Though they’re a suspect at the back.
Like joke they’ll crawl unnoticed to the cup
The selection seems to be the best based on recent performance. Just hoping a more composed and not jittery Ekong, and a committed and not lackadaisical Iwobi will be on display, and not forgeting a prolific strike force. If we get all these on the field today, the Eagles for the win.
This is a strong squad.
Nigeria will win 2 – 0.
Exactly as I said before kick-off. I had that sixth sense and wasn’t overly tensed as before. Congrats to Nigeria,
@larry, with exception to sanusi, whom for the ivory coast game lacked confidence and positional discipline. I thank God, we are not playing senegal today, it would have been more obvious . I am not taking anything away from the cemerounian, but the bottom line is that sanusi has lost form. Good luck Super Eagles
With 5 defenders at the back , Iheanacho should have started ahead of Moses.
Iheanacho can score goals and play like a false #9. Moses is just better defensively but we need goals first before defending.
I am afraid for this midfield setup. When you play 3-4-3 you need two agile ball-winning runners. Chelsea had this in Kanye and Matic in their last title-winning season. Onyeka is good for this role but I am uncertain Iwobi is ideal. thats why he was playing so deep in our game vs CIV. Alhassan and Frank both have the lungs and the legs.
Simon is best when introduced from bench but the coach no dey hear word and if Alhassan is fit play him ahead of Onyeka. Anyway we can’t have same ideas and can only wish the team Goodluck at this point.
Sanusi and Aina must be clinical like Carvajal because Osimhen is tight marked and inconsistent at this tournament, and same applies to other players in the team to take their chances. After all that is said the players are already out there and we can only pray and wish them well because they will not be reading our comments at this point.
We don come again. Super Eagles, get sense today
The two players i called out in my earlier post showed up!
Ekong has really improved! No more ball watching and nice tackling.!
Thumbs up Iwobi, you sabi
Eagles for the trophy!
