Victor Osimhen has emphasized the need for the Super Eagles not to underrate Guinea-Bissau in their next 2023 Africa Cup of Nations fixture.
Jose Peseiro’s men will take on the Djurtus at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan next week Monday.
The Super Eagles defeated hosts Cote d’Ivoire 1-0 in their second game of the competition at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium on Thursday.
Guinea-Bissau are on the brink of elimination from the competition after defeats in their opening two games against Cote d’Ivoire and Equatorial Guinea.

Osimhen however said the Super Eagles will approach the game with determination.
“We aim for a strong performance against Guinea-Bissau. They will undoubtedly approach the game with determination, and we won’t underestimate any team, considering what they’ve done to qualify,” Osimhen said after the game.
“We met them in the qualifiers and know how strong they are. They defeated us at home, while we also beat them away.
“So, we are expecting a tough game against them. We will do our best to win.”

Any afcon Nigeria beats Cote D’Ivoire we have always qualified for the final. 1994 1990 2013 and 2023?
Sorry but I hate to hear things like this, the past is in the past. Don’t let nonsense get into these guys heads ffs. It’s one game at a time please.
That’s very correct. With Osimhen and co, I see the team going the whole hog to winning the cup. And just as Osimhen opined, determination and if im to add, discipline are the keys. Good luck Eagles!
Osimhen we are expecting 3-5 goals from you since Gb is a cheap team and since you like scoring against cheap team
That’s the right mentality. Don’t underrated anyone
