Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro says it is important for his side to remain humble going into their Group A clash with Guinea-Bissau.
The three-time champions will be up against the Djurtus at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium on Monday.
The Super Eagles defeated hosts Cote d’Ivoire 1-0 on Thursday.
Peseiro’s men are overwhelming favourites going into the game against Guinea-Bissau.
Baciro Cande’s men have zero point in the competition having lost their opening two fixtures to Cote d’Ivoire and Equatorial Guinea.

The Portuguese has however cautioned his players to respect their opponent and not allow the win against Cote d’Ivoire get into their head.
“We beat Cote d’Ivoire, it’s good for us, our confidence and what we want to achieve in this competition,” Peseiro said during his interaction with the media on Sunday.
“It also improve our confidence, but we also need to show more commitment. We have to respect the opponent.
“Guinea-Bissau have good players, they can beat any team. We have seen so many shocking results in this competition already.
“It is important for us to take it game by game and not think too far. We want to show better performance, show our quality, and capacity. If we do that no team can beat us.”
The Super Eagles occupy second position in Group A with four points from two games.
A draw will be enough for Peseiro’s men to earn a place in the Round of 16.

Good talk ojare Pajenro – More power to you and the team, let’s hope Osimhen remembers to collect his shooting boots before boarding the team bus to the game – Onuachu is absolutely useless and should only be considered if and only after if we are definitely winning the game – in the last 5-15 minutes when we’re at least 2 goals ahead. Also lets give the other goalkeepers a run out under the same conditions, for 10-15 minutes at the end if we are 2-3 goals ahead and by the other goalkeepers I am not referring to Calamity Frank aka Uzoho baskelebe, just tell him to stay back at the hotel and enjoy the buffet there.
Oya let’s gooo!
Thanks Field Marshall. You’re always on point not like some of these other constant poster here which do make no sence. how can someone with right head be ask for uzoho or onuachu to play when we still have senior man and musa on the bench not coming in.
You are one of the only people here who really care for Nigerian and understand how things are work. Kudos to you big man.
Thanks my broda man! Great minds think alike!
Today’s list:
Nwabili or Ojo
Osayi
Ekong
Bassey
Zaidu
Iheanacho
Aribo
Onyeka
Moses
Lookman
Osimhen
I will go with Ojo to earn his time because we wouldn’t have known how good Mbali isif he wasn’t tried. Or at worst, let him be introduced in the second half when dem Iheanacho would’ve scored goals.
This looks like 533 formation. It comes with a compacted defensive arrangement.
That’s right, compact defense. Don’t you see the middle? Iwobi Nacho will do the width as AM while Osayi as DM will support defense and using his natural speed, will add more bits running through the center to tge attack. However, i would advise that Osayi should release the ball time mostly when the team enjoys economy of scale.
Your line up is cool but it’s yet to be seen who the coach is selecting for the game. Wishing Eagles good luck.
What he said is correct. I’m predicting 6:0 in our favor and when it does happen, y’all will bear me witness.
Humble, yes but they need to press their opponents from the blast of the whistle only then can they be sure of many goals.
Coach Peseiro you must play with the same formation and line-up which you have played before agaist Cote De’Ivore, so you must play with 3-4-3 change it to 3-5-2 when Super Eagles lose the ball , close Guinea Bissaua key players, depend on counter attack which should be played with through passes by Iwobi or Onyeka and crosses ball by Lookman and Chukwueze, instruct centre back to go away from committing errors and set-pieces, instruct defensive midfielders to press on Guinea Bissau players.
@Hassan, that is a the best formation.
The technical crew of SE need to be checked, how many players are they going to riled out of the competition. This is worrisome and hard to take in. I also blame peseiro for not inviting both enough players and midfielders. We are complaining we don’t have midfielders but how many players in AFCON presently are playing in clubs better than where dele-baahiru, akpom or nwankali is playing. This other guys are playing in lower leagues and they are delivering for there countries. I hope we don’t take ourselves out of the competition by ourselves.
Zambia shall be free.
But at the moment, they are not free.
Tanzania is leading them 1-0.
Monday, the 5-3-3 defense is focused primarily on stacking the line of scrimmage with many defenders, exchanging a defender in the secondary for another defender up front. And with seas of legs, it frustrates the opponents though I see it as too elementary at this stage. We need to commit more men at the midfield like using be 3-5-2 form.
Line of scrimmage ke?
