Moses Simon believes Victor Osimhen will soon rediscover his scoring touch despite failing to score in recent matches for the Super Eagles.
Osimhen failed to score for the fourth consecutive game as the Super Eagles defeated the Palancas Negras of Angola 1-0 at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium on Friday night.
The 25-year-old has registered one goal in five games for Nigeria at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

Simon stated that Osimhen is more concerned with the team’s success rather than individual glory.
“The atmosphere is good in the team. Osimhen is thinking about winning, not just scoring,” he told a press conference in Abidjan.
“If he gets a chance to score he will take it, but he’s focused on the team victory first.”
The Super Eagles will face the winner of the game between Cape Verde and South Africa in the semi-final at the Stade la Paix, Bouake on Wednesday.

But seriously the primary aim and major job (and quote me anywhere I can even say the only job) of a striker is to score goals..
So make una forget this talk “he is working for the team” that’s bullshit..
How can you be African best and you are stuck on one goal after 5 games…
And that one goal self is a Scrappy header
So, Osimhen scoring goals is more important to you than Nigerian winning? Which kin human being be this abeg? Can someone tell me?
Nsue scored 5 goals, but his team is now in Malabo. Angola scored 9 as a team with Dala having 3 or 4; they are heading home as ae speak. Hoe many goals did Mane Salah, Mahrez or even Fofana score? Osimhen’s presence alone is a problem to many defenders. Ask Cameroon and Ivory Coast. He has even being defending like Ekong and Bassey, and that is a player that’s meant to be a top 9. How exactly do you watch your football? If you take Osimhen from that Nigerian attack, you will see how blunt that knife will be. Besides, if the coaches and his fellow players aren’t complaining, who are you to complain? You even suggested in one of your posts that they should take away his APOTY Award! Wow! And you call yourself a Nigerian? I doubt that claim so so much. Most of your comments here are not only anti-Nigerian; they are coming from a heart full of hatred, jealousy and bitterness for Nigerian football establishment. You should get life, bro.
LMAO! if Osimhen score 10 goals and we still qualify will there be civil war?
You guys have refuse to answer me..
He will not be the first..
Back in the day Their eto use goals to make their presence felt..
So what are you saying..
And now that he’s not scoring but creating the chances for others to score; how’s that a problem?
He scored agsinst EQG, caused the penalty against CIV, pressured Sangare into scoring an own goal against GBU, provided the assist agsinst Cameroon, distracted 2 players for Lookman to score against Angola, scored another 2 goals all ruled offside. So what else do you expect you to do? Kill himself so you could be happy?
You need to go for psycho test
What about their eto, drogba back in the days that use to score and assist nko…
Or there will be civil war if he finishes the tournament as the highest goal scorer and also with the highest assist
Monkey you need to take some bananas. Yes he has missed goals. But two goals have been disallowed from Oshimen. Did you see the header against Angola. What a goal. But var disallowed it. Good.
You also failed to note that he should have taken the penalty against Cote D’Ivoire but he stepped back.
His overall display in this tournament has been very great and selfless.
If anyone comes here to castigate him because he has scored one goal then the person is insincere.
Oshimen is a gift to Nigeria.
I have always talked about x factor players. Ademola, Oshimen, ekong, aina, baseey are doing just that in this team. Xfactors players are not selfish. They use everything they have got to help the team win. I believe I made sense with all I have written.
Ma only him goal Dem rule offside..
And offside goal is no goal so why are you counting it like it’s an achievement..
Monkey u re not making any points here. Simon has just said it all
Important is the team winning not for personal glory… V.O happy the team is winning but all the goals he scored was rule out duo to VAR
But still they re winning which is important..so ur point of view makes no sense
I just pray it doesn’t come back to hunt us with the way you guys are over pampering vo
Who is us, monkey?…..there are no monkeys here, only you who think like this….Go to your dark Star country…Omo Ghana…Aflao….
When France won the World Cup in 2018, how many goals did Oliver Giroud score? They all know his impact hence he will always feature. Defenders rush after him and leave Ademola unmarked and it’s working
With all due respect world cup is far bigger than the world cup..and Oliver giroud played against some of the best teams in the world love like Belgium, Argentina, uruaguay etc..so please don’t compare..it’s not like playing against cheap ass team as guinea bissau and the rest
*world cup is far bigger than the African cup of nation…
Let me just say ” I am surprised at your reasoning capacity.
Ok.Let Osimhen score five goals in the next match and Nigeria is knocked out.I believe you will be happy.
If him score five and Nigeria still qualify will there be civil war??
Anytime anyday monkey will always be monkey not because they don’t look perfectly like human beings but just because of the brain they carry.
Which one is better?
1. Nigeria winning matches and progressing as a result of team work.
2. Nigeria knocked out at round of 16 with Osimhen 10 goals.
I won’t be surprised if monkey pick wrong option. The problem is still the brain.
Will there be civil war if osimehn wins the highest goal scorer and then Nigeria wins the trophy
Ghanaians are so bitter about Nigeria’s success even when we didn’t play against them in this tournament…. That’s what I call pathological hatred….. Monkey post please go to Ghana and leave us alone…. please.
This 2024 and you still think am a Ghanaian? SMH..
Ok tell me your state, local government and village…I want to confirm it now…..Also tell me the governor of your state and his predecessor….now
Oga I owe you no explanation. If you want to believe that am a Ghanaian fine…
If you can’t do that just tell us your Nigerian tribe then just say “am a rich man” in your native Nigerian dialect….very simple
@ very mumu Ghanaian monkey
@ Monkey Post is not a Nigerian but wishes to be a Nigerian, hence this busybody on Nigerian matter. It’s that simple.
