Nigeria’s Super Eagles AFCON 2023 Group A opponent Guinea-Bissau has named their final 25-man squad.
While other teams recently released their provisional squad, Guinea-Bissau’s head coach Baciro Candé, officially released his final roster for next year’s tournament.
Cande selected three goalkeepers, eight defenders, seven midfielders, and seven attackers.
Their journey at the AFCON 2023 will start with a clash against hosts Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire on January 13.

On January 18, they will take on Equatorial Guinea before facing the Super Eagles in their final group game.
Guinea-Bissau faced the Eagles in the qualifiers for next year’s AFCON and shocked the three-time AFCON winners 1-0 in Abuja.
However, in the second leg, the Eagles avenged the first leg loss by emerging 1-0 winners.
The 2023 edition of the tournament starts on January 13 and runs through to February 11, 2024.

I’m just optimistic, against all odds, that the Super Eagles will make us proud. Honestly, I don’t know where that optimism and belief are coming from
We are all optimistic but let whatever performance the Super Eagles are able to grind be a reason to retain that PE teacher calling himself a coach
I don’t mean to rain on your parade buy do so cautiously. That manager is clueless.
The provisional squad lists for the Africa Cup of Nations were released last week, and most of the top countries had few players from their local leagues the quality of local football in Africa is very low, and including home, based players is a risk no country wants to take.
Let’s wait and see how the super eagles list will look like, maybe something like 3 goalkeepers, 10 defenders, 3 midfielders, 11 attackers …….lol
We wish the super eagles best of luck all the same…. lol
