Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has made two changes to his starting line-up for tonight’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final clash with Cote d’Ivoire.

Good lineup, let’s do this!
These players have boobs of energy. They are soldiers of warrior. Lol
Am not too comfortable with the changes..I was thinking senior man will come in for iwobi..And why bench Moses simon for chuks? Plus this zaidu self.. anyway all the best..Good luck super eagles!
Mnonky yash
But what is it to do with you? You are not even Nigerian, omo na wa for you o!
Do you not have anything at all occupying your time in your life than to be trolling Nigeria and Nigerians? Any family?? Friends?? Worship?? Praise?? Business even?? hmm menh this is very unreal sha Chai!
Hahahaha @Field Marshal, MonkeyPost nah Nigerian o. Trust me. The guy just dey catch cruise with all his ‘GENERAL ROAR’ sing-song then.
Menh I really doubt it just based on observation of how he expresses himself sometimes – believe me I have pondered this a bit that he could be using a double bluff method but anyway, if he is then he must be either very clever indeed to have pulled that ruse for so long and have ME actually thinking that he is Ghana or he is another poster who has created this persona as a decoy to an already unpopular or infamous reputation that he has previously gained on here –
Either way @Kel, it’s no big deal and cool ma bro, fingers crossed we’re all celebrating in a few hours game abi? Peace!
** A few hours time** paapa lol
Simon shouldn’t have been bench for Chukueze.
Like u rightly said all the best to d team any player dat he deemed fit to play that will help d team achieve it’s dreams then we go
Get out of there…
Echos::::Should 3 be higher than 4?
Can NIG be more reflective the Ivory
Towers? Can determination overcome
Dexterity? Will a White tactician triumph over his black counterpart?
Will the winds favor the Manipulative over the Proud?
Will greed partner loyalty to defeat the proud and determined?
The Answer will soon become obvious in less than 6 hours!
A Winner is approved already due to key factors shielded from Many
Chukwuezes provides more potency and link-up play with Osimhen (although he tends to overdo it sometimes), but Simon offers more stability and defensive balance.
This suggests Paseiro is looking for early goals and will be more offensive and adventurous.
Osayi offers youth and speed, but lacks the defensive solidity and understanding and gel that Sanusi has playing with Calvin, Ajayi, Ekong, and Aina.
3 – 1 to Nigeria and Osimhen shines with a brace to win the MVP of the tournament.
Reporting from Ebimpe.
5.40pm here…
A momouth crowd..
Yes, it’s true the list is out and Nigerians are happier for it. Zaidu is retaining his position and Chukweze replacing Simon. That’s as far there is.
Meanwhile, there’s tight security in place as ivorian football loving fans started trouping into the stadium at Ebimpe as early as 8am(9am Nig). It comes off an intimidating crowd as everywhere is full with a large chunk of fans still housed outside the stadium.
Peseiro is presently with the boys in the locker room possibly fine tuning final arrangement.
In a brief interview with Ademola Lookman, he said … “We No gree anybody, meaning they careless about the surging ivorian crowd, that to me is a plus… Funny enough, Ademola speaks Yoruba dialet very well as he was to welcome me with, éka bó egbón wa, this with all humility.
I’m presently making my way to chatting with Kanu and Okocha and hopefully that should be out in few minutes.
Stay glued to CSN for more!
Thanks for the updates @Oseodion.
More live feeds please.
God bless.
Thanks for the update, @Oseodion. Inegbenebor . This is what I expect from CSN, but I’m shocked that CSN has turned to copy and paste the website.
In sha Allah, Nigeria is winning 2:0 today.
“Funny enough, Ademola speaks Yoruba dialet very well as he was to welcome me with, éka bó egbón wa, this with all humility”
This message goes to everyone’s parents. Teach your children your dielet. English is not our language, but it’s good to give our children a sound education, but that doesn’t mean we should throw our language out.
Many Nigerians and Africans bear English names that have no meaning. We have Olohun leke, Chukwudi, and Babayaro, to name a few, but many Nigerians prefer stone, wood, and cat to the ones I mentioned earlier.
Kudos to Ademola Lookman. In sha Allah, the Afcon trophy is coming home tonight no matter how intimidating the elephants it may be. Up Super Eagles. God is in control. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
great sir….we shall celebrate tonight by God’s grace…
Best of luck Super Eagles.
God bless Nigeria
.
We have been test running “No gree for anybody this year” in this AFCON, today is grand opening of “no gree for anybody this year” that we will declare open with the trophy.
With this lineup, we only ve one tackler, same tackler is our only defensive midfielder. With three liabilities in the midfield, while the Ivorian would be playing Zeri, kezzie, Adrinka and machine Fofana, anyway the coach is not stupid,
Why are you always negative? Watch out how well we will play and win today. You are not fair to this team even from beginning of this tournament. Why not remove your shirt and enter field and play. Mr i sabi play before.
U be ode, 3 liability that take you to final abi
I know ur types, the comments not for for u, this lineup will put pressure on our defenders, do u really want that?
@Sunnyb, great observation. Looks like JP is taking a risk to attack in the first half but the main issue is starting Iwobi who not really measured up to standard. No issue with starting Chukzzy but you can start a match with two players who could loose the ball in vital area, can’t track back, and could be very selfish at times (Chuckwueze and Iwobi).
Why not replace Iwobi with Yusuf who happens to be a better box to box midfielder and marker!!
Hopefully, these points have been corrected before the match.
Larry maybe you want Yusuf to commit another unnecessary penalty abi?
The coach killed the game by being too defensive. This is final for Christ sake , why must you be defensive again . There is a limit to everything in life. I expect him to change tactics in the second half to allow us get the ball to the Ivorian
Now, you can be happy with Chukwueze and Iwobi. These two players with Zaidu dud not merit starting a match.
They put the team under pressure with poor decision making.
The team needs a playmaker (Olise), a right attacking winger (Tella), a defender (Igho, Osho, Balogun),
The return of Iwobi,Awoniyi, and Boni will strengthen the team.
I would say the coach finished naija with his starting of chukwueze instead of Simon. And not knowing when iwobi needed to “eave his defensive agasint them was off it. Ademola was the only one taking the game to them but took him out again. The coach and iwobi messed up big time in this final
