Calvin Bassey was Man of the Match sorry CAF
Ekong too deserve it…in short everybody on the pitch…but lookman try today o him don dey toughen up small small o..lol.maybe he saw my yabings here and decided to improve…
Lookman is impressing me.
If OSIMHEN had bury that 8 minute chance, mehn that would have been nice
Aina was awesome today for me..
The whole team was spectacular.
Osimhen was the man of the match because the penalty he won was all Nigeria needed to win the match
That’s true my guy. The penalty was Nigeria’s main opportunity and wAs a goal but the destractors are are angry in their comments, lolo!
It wasn’t. Nigeria would’ve still lost the game if Nwabli didn’t come big to save that one-on-one chance after Zaidu’s mistake. Nigeria would’ve also lost if Aina, Ekong and Bassey weren’t excellent.
When football analyst like me say something people who are not informed like @monkey post should pay attention, listen and learn.
I’m aware we were going to beat ivory coast today because U20, Super falcons did it and Super Eagles must follow the trend.
Apart from that the team really look solid from day one, just lacking some confidence and belief.
the team will keep improving to a time they will be taking their goals scoring chances.
till then, we are Super Eagles, we are solid!!!! we no go gree for anybody!!!!!!!!!!
For God’s sakes, Peserio accommodated 8 strikers in his squad sir and has been with this team for 2 years. I know he is not the one to put the ball in the net but goals win games
Take aside Sao tome maulings in both legs, this is Nigeria’s 2nd clean sheet in 21 matches after Ghana debacle.
Why can’t we protect our defense more since we still need to be taught how to take chances.
Peserio should grab some balls (he wants me to start liking him but nope) and refresh the wingers, possibly relieve Osimhen by deploying another striker when transiting.
Ihenacho hmm! Peserio is afraid of tweaking well.
@ Sly I really understand your point, of course Osihme is not scoring now but we know he will score and he is a good striker.
the coach wouldn’t teach him how to shoot correctly that’s not his job, Osihme is African king and he earned it, so he will come good.
the coach job is to organise the team to have a pattern which I think it’s coming up gradually, though I feel like he should have fortify the midfield more, players like aribo has already gotten enough time to impress but hasn’t added any special quality to the setup.
we need new midfielders, so peseiro need a good scout to give us a team we all will be proud of.
@Sly he started by going all out because of our many strikers and he didn’t pay much attention defensively ( though because of the form Boniface were then the coach can’t play three midfielders, he instead tries to utilise our firepower which is the attack)
now we are looking solid and the most positive about the team is the fact that we do create a lot of chances despite not having so called world class midfielders.
the strength of this team is our wingbacks.
I’m not sure if Kelechi is fully fit though but he may be our joker.
Lol…So this your native doctor analysis now is now making you to feel like one sky sport analyst abi? Okay o go ahead..
maybe you forgot when you were wishing the team doom, that they will loose to ivory coast in another thread, which I told that wouldn’t be the case for some good reasons stated above.
The way the coach is playing is affecting iwobi and also the team iwobi needs to pushed upfront behind the main striker or be given a free role in the midfield
Is that the criteria for winning the man of the match, oga abeg no make me vex, he is just an over-hyped baby. The real men of the match were the defenders. Iwobi and onyeka didn’t impact the game kobo
Not true@Zannu. Onyeka marked and worked hard in that midfield today. Pls give credence to whom it is due.
Bassey did great in marking Pepe.
Congrats SE. Pls work on your finishing at the final 3rd. Cheers!
Monkey post na Ghanaian, l beg. He is a good guy though. Lets hope Nigeria wins the next match. Maybe this coach is not all that bad after-all. Victory is all embracing.
Osimhen was simply awesome ibo presidential election losers apart.
We know ibos online are sad but thats not our problem. Truth be told, super Eagles were awesome and osimen good for world best, lolo! Up up green white green.
I tried not to laugh since they ran themselves aground politically. Fact is, the Eagles are winning the cup irrespective who is angered by who, I don’t know. Lwkm!
Iboes are still venting their angers. Sincerely, Victor Osimhen made it happened despite not getting the necessary assists.
Congratulations Osimhen victory, good luck proud Nigerians
Good luck Nigerians, good luck our president.
Now there’s struggle for tribal defense.
That Osimhen fall on the hit is called hit lets run, lol! Nigerians are simply wonderful. Up S.Eagles of Nigeria.
Okay we understand now and ofcourse eagles on the reduce performance while Nigeria is a country never want another. Up Eagles!
Where is Dr. Drey?
If we had lost, he would have been here gloating.
If the new goal keeper had made blunders, he would have been in these pages long ago with his so called analysis.
The guy is a sadist.
Shame on you for criticizing when we don’t do well but fail to congratulate when we do well.
You can go and join coach Rohr in Benin Republic.
You are not a true SE fan.
True fans stand behind d the team, even when they dont like the coach.
To hell with all your nonsense “analysis”.
I will keep posting this until you come out of hiding.
Is this the Bomboy I know?
Bomboy you are correct. That’s one thing I don’t like about Dr drey. He is a very good analyst but he always wants to be right. As a good analyst he should have come out to at least praise the goal keeper for his effort today. I think he is still pained by the sack of rohr. But are we going to kill the super eagles because of one rohr
@ Dr Drey, everyone is calling on you to come out, pls where are you?? You can’t tell all of us here that there is nothing to comment about this match.
…@Dr.Drey has already commented several times on this thread already, only he does that using several other aliases… I can tell yoa’ll that for free because I know the man like back of my hand. But I must commend William Troost for his new found maturity how he wills everyone on and took it upon himself to play that penalty and deliver like a real leader. The only thing I will like to point out is the fact that after this tournament Chuba Akpom and Nathan Tella should become integral part of the squad. I am still not impressed with Samuel Chukwueze contributions and decision making, he is these days playing more the role of a liability on the whole team. Onuachu is a good player and Osimhen needs to play with more calm and less burst on entropy… dude needs to still burying chances coming his way… just see how Mohammed Kudus delivered today… that’s maturity and class rolled into one… Chukwueze can learn a lot from fellow left footer like Kudus.
Ahhhh you looking for trouble now @Bonbay, you better leave @dre alone and let us enjoy this win.
It was a compact team play today. Well done guys
Osimhen worked his socks off. They need to get him new socks.
On Nwabali, I really commend him today for his calmness and composure, but would still need to assess him more in 1 or 2 tougher matches, Senegal or Morrocco type match. Uzoho was also beeming with confidence in 2018 world cup until he turned basket.
There is know time uzoho ever been above average, we are made to understand that keepers will get it right after 10yrs with the team, nwabali is here to stay.
Calvin Bassey I bow that guy nah Rock, he single-handedly destroyed the Ivorian from the right flank
I give glory to God almighty. Another achievement for I omo9ja. Whenever Nigerians call Nwabali’s name, omo9ja will follow.
“Sean” most especially has to come out and apologize to me. Are you now seeing what Nwabali is capable of doing or not?
You haven’t seen anything yet kę lol.
“Sean and his company” should tender their apology to me because they insulted me in so many ways, but today they were nowhere to be found.
How I wish the gaffer took Dessers and Nwakali to Afcon to testify my points of view.
Nwabali is here to stay. Oga Paseiro have to tell his troops not to relents they have to do more.
Coach Paseiro really impressed me, I must say. I did not expect that impressive performance from him and his boys. Let’s go, Naija. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
