Just set of unfit players here and there.
All because of the poor coach who did not see the need to take 27 AFCON qualified players to Cote’d Ivoire.
Very dumbass coach. Must b regretting his decision not to take 27. Literally set himself up to fail. Imagine the remaining 2 were Dele Bashiru and Nwakali we would have been in a better position to tackle injuries and coming games. Although Dessers should have been called up rather than Musa or even an attacking midfielder from NPFL in place of Musa. If this team makes the semis I will eat my words.
Better get ready to eat your word because I see this team going all the way, we’ve seen Al the big guns played, cameroun labor for a draw against a short 1 team Guinea, Ghana lost to CV, Egypt drew with Mozambique with a last minute penalty, Algeria with mahrez and co just drew with Angola as well.
I’ve taken my time to rewatch the match, we actually didn’t do that bad, iwobi and lookman didn’t play that bad bar for that goal where iwobi was ball watching, in single out our full backs for blame, aina lost the ball in many occasion while trying to turn for know particular reason instead of passing the ball and zaidu was so naive with his defensive duty and missing two very good chances.
I will replace Aina with Samuel or awazien and zaidu with bassey or Bruno, will probably leave the full backs as it is but replacing ekong with omeruo won’t do the team any harm if the coach seem it okay.
In as much as this might sound funny and provoke some forum member here, it won’t be bad idea if the coach try out Musa in place of Simon from the RW if kelechi is Nt ready yet, we all know what Musa can offer in terms of speed and goal sense anytime anyday.
I think you are absolutely correct. I had seen basically all matches played in the tournament so far and Super eagle seems to be in the lead of the pack. Its football and I understand that anything can happen at anytime but their last match was not a bad outing. I know that people want a win but they also need to understand that no team in Africa is a walk over team at this time. I can only wish super eagle a good luck in their next match and wait to see how it all play out.
