Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo is looking forward to a difficult game against Cote d’Ivoire, reports Complete sports.com.
Nigeria and the hosts will clash in the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe Abidjan on Sunday.
It will be a repeat of the group stage tie between both countries which the Super Eagles won 1-0.
Omeruo reckoned the game will be difficult, but insisted they will do their best to come out with a win.
“We all know how important this game is for our country, for them too (Cote d’Ivoire) it is very important,” Omeruo told reporters after the Super Eagles training session at the Police College, Cocody, Abidjan on Thursday.
“We beat them in the group stage and they will definitely want a revenge this time around.
“The crowd will be hostile and will be solidly behind them, but we have the experience to deal with that.”
“It’s going to be tough out there, but we will do our best to come out victorious.”
