Cameroon head coach, Rigobert Song has revealed that there is no rift between him and Manchester United goalkeper.
Song benched Onana in Cameroon’s 3-2 win against the Scorpions of Gambia.
His replacement Fabrice Ondoa put up an impressive performance against the West Africans.
“Cameroon is a country which has always had great goalkeepers, today we also have two good goalkeepers,” Song said during his interaction with the media at the Palais de la culture, Trechville on Friday.
“We can share playing time between them.
I don’t have a problem with my goalkeepers. All my goalies are competitive. I came with 27 players, and everyone is ready to step up.
” There is no controversy between, they get along very well and then the choices are made.”
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon will be up against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a Round of 16 fixture at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Saturday.
