The Honourable Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh has sent a congratulatory message to the Senior Men’s National Team of Nigeria, the Super Eagles, following their remarkable victory against Cote D’Ivoire on Thursday in Abidjan.
In a statement, Senator Enoh expressed his delight with the team’s improved performance promised to Nigerians after their first game.

William Troost-Ekong scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot, after Africa’s best, Victor Osimhen was hacked down in the Ivorians’ box. The Nigerian side will take on Guinea-Bissau in their last group game, on Monday, January 22nd.
