Mabululu’s penalty was enough to help Angola secure a 1-1 draw against Algeria in Monday’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Recall that the Desert Foxes started the game like a house on fire, controlling possession and creating several goal scoring chances before Baghdad Boundjah eventually made it count by scoring the opening goal in the 19th minute.
Algeria was just simply the best after the goal as the team dominated play and could have wrapped up the game in the first half but their profligacy in front of goal left the scoreline 1-0 .

However, at the resumption of the second half, Angola took the game straight to Algeria and their efforts was rewarded after Mabululu was brought down inside the penalty box.
The resulted penalty was calmly converted by Mabululu in the 68th minute to the delight of his teammates.
All efforts by both teams to pick the maximum points proved abortive after 90 minute as Algeria and Angola had to settle for a point.
