Wilfred Ndidi has charged Super Eagles players to bring this year’s Africa Cup of Nations trophy home.
The Eagles will be seeking a fourth AFCON title when they take on hosts Côte d’Ivoire.
The Ivorians endured a disappointing campaign in the group stage but managed to advance to the final.
Ndidi failed to be part of the Eagles squad to the tournament due to injury.

The midfielder, however, sent a good luck message to the players.
“Though I can’t be on the pitch with my brothers, my heart is with them as they play in the AFCON final tonight!” he wrote on X.
“Sending all my support and best wishes. Let’s bring that trophy home! Good luck! .”
While the Eagles last featured in the AFCON final in 2013, the Ivorians reached the final in 2015.

Good luck Super Eagles of Nigeria. From brotherman Koffi Akwesi
Koffi Akwesi – If you are for real and are a real Ghanaian then you are one of a kind and are no doubt a very blessed man indeed – and thank you for the good wishes!
I don’t know why but your post seems genuine and there are very very few Ghanains or South Africans or even most of the so called “Africans” on planet earth who wish Nigeria good in anything at all! And none are as bad as Ghanians and South Africans!
SHAME ON THEM ALL!
I have always said this on here for years and some so called “Nigerians” would even disrespect and be rude to me, attacking and challenging me for speaking the truth – I hope now you can all see what I have always been telling all of you ba? Unless you have been living under a rock, you would have come across it by now to a point where it must now be undeniable to you even the rude deniers must wind their necks in and understand that I never say things for any personal or selfish reasons but I am only a real and concerned Nigeria trying to stand up for my country whenever I can be bothered because to be honest some of you Nigerians are undefendable.
Why not good luck Super Eagles as that would portray you as a proud Nigerian. Koffi seem prouder from his comment. Eagles getting to the finals should be an excitement, and winning the cup an icing on the cake.
Give eagles some flowers.. lo
Why not be an average person and have something constructive and original to say rather than telling another person what to say and how to say it – If you have nothing sensible or intellectual to add then don’t say anything at all – Are you even a Nigerian? I doubt it with a name like that and if you are then you are one of the ones my initial comment was about – either way shame on you and learn not to be an irritating troll.
Continue charging according to ndidi and good luck Super Eagles!!!
Komot this domot boobless general.
And the special one have confirmed my statement on the AFCON ref . And VAR…..
“I have watched AFCON more than European football. They are simply teaching us to be honest. In AFCON VAR is used exactly the way it should be used. They do not use it to help the money magnet teams or famous teams. This is why you saw the best out of every team. Because they know VAR is not hired behind the scenes but is for everyone. They listen even to their Players if the Ref missed something and go check. In Europe if I as a coach or a player plead with a ref to go check something, it is a red card for doing that. The headquarters for VAR needs to be in CAF”
~ José Mourinho
VAR supposed mean go and verify but in Afcon, it’s Nigeria vs VAR. See how the African footballer of year goals were disallowed? Eagles really have to double up to beat VAR and th ivorian crowd.
Please any link to watch the game?
Ah ah! I thought Ghanaians are confined to reading comments only, lol! Good luck Eagles jare.
I’m a Nigerian but your wicked attitude is shameful to see. Someone is wishing our team well and all you have to say is mean things to him!
Just like Ahmed Musa, Ndidi is good to go as the Eagles need to be charged against a very prepared Elephants. Besides, the coach must ensure that he puts the best players on the pitch tonight. God bless Nigeria!
Nooooooway! There’s nothing to onbe charging at since Osimenamena goooals is coming with bang bang bang today. I see Osimenamena gooooooals scoring many goaaaaalsin the match. Up Super Eagles !!!
@Glory, im with you. Osimhen should give us 2 goals thats if the VAR would allowed him. You know he’s the first striker vs VAR in the World today. Sincerely speaking, the boys need to be charged and on that I dey with Ndidi as well. More grace SE.
