Black Stars of Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan has said Victor Osimhen plays with passion whenever he plays for Nigeria.
Osimhen was instrumental to the Super Eagles 2-0 win against Cameroon in Saturday’s round of 16 clash at the AFCON 2023.
The Napoli striker harassed and troubled the Cameroonian defence throughout the encounter.

It was one of his unrelenting pressing that led to the opening goal as he chased down a defender, got the ball from him and laid it for Ademola Lookman for the opener.
Speaking on Osimhen’s performance, Gyan hailed the striker’s passion.
“Osimhen plays with passion. That’s what every country wants their players to do ,” he wrote on his X handle.
Osimhen has managed to score one goal at this year’s AFCON which was in the 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea.
He will hope to get on the score sheet again when the Eagles face Angola in the quarter-finals on Friday.

You can say that again Gyan! Osimhen has been one of Eagle’s top performers, helping the country to remain in the tournament. Coupled with his aerial ability yet to be fully exploited though the Eagles were blessed with a goal from that space. The African football kng was very physical creating chances for his teammates. An unstoppable beast with incredible energy and it was difficult for the Roberto Song lads to keep up with him for the entire duration. The World is impressed, the foreigners, Cameroonians wished he wasn’t in the lineup. He he he he
Let’s see this space guys. Well said one of the prolific strikers from Africa, Great Asamoah.
Gyan is always speaking the truth and some how, Ghanaians don’t know what they have lost from their region.
Spot on!
