A certain Reverend Jedidia Henry Kore, also known as Prophet Fire Ogya, has predicted that the Black Stars will not make it out of the group stage at the AFCON 2023 in Côte d’Ivoire.
The prophet’s prediction follows a barrage of social media attacks after Ghana’s second group game against Egypt on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
Following the Black Stars’ 2-1 defeat to Cape Verde, a video surfaced in which Fire Ogya was purported to have predicted the scoreline of the game.
He also predicted defeat for the Black Stars in their remaining games against Egypt and Mozambique, adding that Mohammed Kudus, who missed the Cape Verde game, would not perform well against Egypt.
Contrary to his prophecy, the Black Stars played a 2-2 draw with Egypt, with Kudus bagging a brace and won the Man of the Match award.
Kudus’ performance contrasted with what the prophet had predicted, leading trolls to come for him.

In an interview with Kofi TV, via yen.com.gh, Fire Ogya has responded to the trolls, saying he prayed to get the fate changed after speaking to the Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Okraku.
According to him, many of the things he predicted, like Egypt scoring an offside goal and praying for Ghana to get a draw, came through, but people refuse to acknowledge that.
“Ghana is coming home. Ghanaians have even angered me, the prophet. You see the insults, some of which have included my mother. If I have any prayer to say, will the behaviour of Ghanaians make me do it?” he lamented.
The Black Stars will take on Mozambique in their final group game and must win convincingly, to stand a chance of progressing into the round of 16.

Abdul Fatawu is sorely missed in the tournament. If he were around Ghana would have defeated Egypt.
It will be sad to see Ghana crash out of the tournament. Had Nigeria being in their group then it would have been easier. We are the only team they can defeat. 🙂
Deo, u scared of Ghana tho my bro lol
We don’t miss fatawu. We don’t pamper players who do not want to represent their country. He opted for a contract at his club against playing for his nation. I don’t begrudge him, besides there are other options on the flanks. He was not really used in the past so maybe he made the right call. He is not missed at all and Ghana will not crash out. I’m praying we meet Nigeria at some point. God pls listen to my prayer…Amen!
I bet you, if you meet Nigeria under this coach you will suffer. Selfie said something a while ago that Nigeria plays physical rather than tactical game with Ghana. Physical football will always fail us against Ghana.
But we now have a tactical coach who will approach matches strategically. I hasten to say that Ghana will fall if we meet you and Ghana would have fallen under Gernot Rohr but NFF knows best.
@Deo is this really you or someone has cloned you? Haba the coach just started winning and you call him tactical.
Selfieeeeee!!!
Long time brotherly. I was watching Cape Verde bully Ghana the other day and I said to myself: to say na Nigeria now, Ghana will flexing muscle.
My brother, e pain me say Abdul Fatawu didn’t make the team. I am a huge fan of that guy. He is a baller. Anyway good luck to Ghana but your position is precarious.
My bro long time! Cape Verde is a dangerous team and they can win the whole thing! Those guys have some serious teamwork and they are threat to any team!!
Btw we are in precarious position but we ll take Mozambique to the cleaners on Monday and hopeful we can progress!
We truly want Nigeria along the way tho lol
Wishing u nothing but the best my bro!
It’s like we have 2 DEO’s on this platform. The gentleman erudite, prolific writer and another who is an identity thief, and I suspect it’s this ome
E be things chalie
Fake prophet. Nigerians will be happy to read this. But I have a feeling that Nigeria won’t go past the next round too. Remember what Tunisha did to you guys the other time? It’s likely to happen again.
So we will even qualify for next round? Funny you we will reach at least semi-final.
Idiot is that prophet a Nigerian is him not your brother?. Why this foolish Ghanians are like this.
Not all Ghanaians are like the ones we have here..lol
Apart from CV, all the other teams are on red alert.
Imagine Egypt failing to qualify?
It will be a national catastrophe.
Hehehe, the last group matches will be tension soaked.
Our kenkey eating friends should be able to beat Moz. They can’t afford to leave the competition so early.
They eat too much Banku that’s why they don’t think straight on the football field. Too much Banku is turning their head…..lol
Same banku we ate to eliminate you from the last world and it’s eating your brain up. Nonsense talk!
No way! CAF still uses away goal rule that’s why things turned in your favour. You only won technically. If it were Europe (UEFA) where they have removed away goals rule the march would have been decided on penalties and it could have gone either way so stop saying you eliminated us.
I can see Banku has turned your head too same way it is turning the head of your players.
Another unintelligent post. Didn’t you know about the away goal rule before the qualifiers started? Haven’t you benefited from away goal rule as a country? If the coin flipped wouldn’t you have gladly accepted it? Don’t refer to Europe foolishly because that’s their rule and africa and the rest have their rules. We will continue to eat the banku and beat you any day so stop talking like a fool and think.
@flat head Ghanaian mumu,be preoccupied by a win against our darling SE,while u get eliminated at group stage and never chill with the big boys.
In the scheme of things, the dark stars of Ghana isn’t a football force anymore in Africa. And our team focus is always the trophy while Ghana remain trophyless for over 50yearsand still counting.
Dey play
Selfmade bro, why is Inaki and boukari playing backwards instead of putting the ball into touch? Those two conspired to deny Ghana victory against Egypt
I will be happy to see Ghana qualify from the group stage because I enjoy their pattern of football besides they should prove that prophet fire is fake and not to start attacking Nigeria, we are not part of their woes .
Fake pastors everywhere just like TB Joshua
Reckless talker as usual.
Stupid response as usual
Banku is laced with drugs and alcohol. It is Banku talking not him.
Banku makes them speak rubbish and act rubbish
Same banku laced with drugs we ate to eliminate your useless asses from the world cup. Think before you type.
