Leicester City have commended Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho for his sublime goal against the Pharaohs of Egypt in Tuesday’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Iheanacho, known as ‘Senior Man’ at the English top-flight team, fired the Super Eagles ahead in the 30th minute of the Group D opening match.
The Austin Eguavoen’s side started the game in front foot, threatening the Pharaohs from flanks.
Controlling a headed pass from Joe Aribo in the danger area, Iheanacho fired a left-footed shot into the bottom corner to give the Super Eagles a well-deserved lead.
And reacting to the goal via their official Twitter handle, Leicester City said, “What a strike from !!”

fantastic goal.
He is not only a natural goal scorer but also helps the team press high. Owoyini and Sadiq Umar seem tk back presence and high pressing . its too early to say though..

Guys need to take it easy on our bench. Someone said we dont have a bench but I dont agree. Most of these players are playing together for the first time and are still getting used to each other. With time they will understand each other better and we will reap the reward.
Lets be patient with the team.
I suspect If the team wins its next game, the coach will give some of the fringe players a chance to start in the last group game. Then we will be able to properly assess if the team has a bench or not. Until then lets enjoy this victory and continue to support the team.
Its ended Sudan 0 vs 0 Guinea Bissau
That goaless between sudan and guinean will further serve Nigeria well. We shouldn’t be under any pressure going into our second match on Saturday.
After watching the drama that ensued the goalless draw between the SUFAYOS in our group. It’s a wrap that we should win this group. It’s still early days though, but we’re always favorite against Sudan and Guinea Bissau. There’s definitely no excuse not to top the group. That’s the target for now then the rest will follow. This is a very good Nigeria side for people wey sabi ball.
However, the second half still left a lot to be desired. We dominated the Pharaohs in the first half and deservedly got the lead, but in the second half Egypt pegged us back looking for the equalizer. We had more chances that went begging, but we held on to the lead. That’s a positive going forward. Attack as a team defend as a team. Overall a very good display and I expect this team to go far.
AMAJU PINNICK OUT!
SHEHU DIKKO OUT!
You forgot to add Sheyi on that list. From now on, that is the new song for us all. They have to leave. We don’t want the current NFF members in charge of our sports.
If I were the new coach after watching Nigeria vs Egypt, I would just tell the NFF AJĘWOMASAN the debtor that am leaving and your own are good enough to get the job done.
Can you imagine, the Amaju was seeking advice from MO, the former Chelsea manager when we have intelligent people here in Nigeria. Amaju and his company should be ashamed of themselves once again. NFF really rubbish our local coaches. It is not Amaju Pinnick’s fault though, because if our indigenous coaches have respect for themselves, such a thing wouldn’t have happened.
Let’s go guys. Amaju and his current NFF members out and our ex players in. It’s time to gooooooo Amaju. God bless Nigeria!!!
Iheanacho is like bruno fernandes, they play shit the whole match sometimes, but with them you know just know there is a chance, magicians, all they need is a chance ortwo
