Senegal’s underwhelming start to the Africa Cup of Nations continued as they were held to a drab goalless draw by Guinea in Group B.
The Guineans had the only real chance of the first half as Seny Dieng saved from Morgan Guilavogui.
Senegal grew into the Group B clash after the break, as Abdou Diallo had a header tipped over and Bouna Sarr dragged a shot across goal and wide.
Both sides have four points after two games, which could see them progress as one of four best third-placed teams.
Senegal had needed a 97th-minute penalty to beat Zimbabwe in their opening game and Aliou Cisse’s side, who are among the favourites for the title, put in another disjointed display.

Is this the Afcon favorite..
They have not faced Nigeria, Egypt, Algeria, Moroccan etc and they are struggling to score goals.. this is a very average team..
Are you guys sure klopp have not wish all his players in AFCON bad luck soo? Abi how do one explain mighty Senegal not to score a goal in 180 minutes already? Probably klopp want them back early.
Pls can Rohr come and tell us what is wrong here Cos 80% of senegalese team play in Rohr definition of big team’s and according to home once ur team is dominated by such players u are supposed to have a straight walk over all other team’s by beating them 4 ; 0. So what happened ?
Exactly. Rohr is very stupid by saying something like that. He deserved what he got.
In that case, let your logic be consistent. Based on your logic it means it is no big deal if Magadascar beats Nigeria because big names do not matter.
Be that as it may, the fact that teams with big team players mess up does not mean where players trade does not matter. I am glad we beat Egypt but we should not be carried away with the euphoria of the moment and then begin to make careless statements.
