Adebayo Adeleye is relishing another call-up to the Super Eagles as the team prepares to face São Tomé and Principe in the 2023 AFCON qualifier in Uyo on Sunday.
After securing their ticket to next year’s AFCON, the Eagles will round off the qualifier against São Tomé inside the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
Ahead of this weekend’s clash, Adeleye took to his Twitter handle to charge his teammates ahead of the encounter.
“Back to National team duty. We go again on Sunday for another glorious outing,” he wrote on his X handle (formerly Twitter).
In the first-leg, São Tomé suffered a humiliating 10-0 loss to the three-time African champions.
Adeleye has made one appearance for Nigeria which was in the 3-2 win against Sierra Leone.
The Eagles currently top Group A of the AFCON qualifiers with 12 points from five matches.
Afcon 2023 will be held in Ivory Coast from January 13 to February 11.
