AC Milan have reportedly identified Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface as a transfer target ahead of the summer transfer window.
Given that Olivier Giroud is expected to sign a contract with LAFC in June, the Rossoneri will undoubtedly sign a new centre forward ahead of 2024–2025 season.
According to numerous Italian sources, Milan’s top target for the upcoming season is Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee.
However, it is believed that Milan are also considering other options because the Dutch striker’s price tag is probably going to exceed €50 million.
A recent Gazzetta report states Bologna may be seeking to sell Zirkzee for €75 million, which is the same amount Manchester United paid to acquire Rasmus Hojlund seven months ago.
According to Corriere dello Sport as reported by Football Italia, in the event that Milan are unable to acquire Zirkzee, Boniface is their backup target.
The report estimates that Boniface’s transfer value is between €40 and €50 million.

In 25 appearances across all competitions, the Nigeria international has 16 goals and nine assists, adding to Leverkusen’s outstanding season.
The 23-year-old’s current deal with the Bundesliga leaders expires in June 2028.
Boniface is a key part of Xabi Alonso’s side as they are currently unbeaten across all competitions this season.
The Vizekusen are in hunt for a treble as they are just one win away from winning the Bundesliga title for the first time ever.
The German side have also advanced to the final of the DFB Pokal and are already in the quarter-final of the Europa League where they will clash with West Ham United across two legs.
