AC Milan reportedly want Maurico Pochettino to take over and will promise him a £300m transfer warchest if he decides to jump ship. The Daily Mirror claim the San Siro giants want the Argentine to rejuvenate the fortunes of the once-great club, who have been unable to challenge Juventus for the Scudetto for a number of years.

Former Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis is understood to be ready to dispense with current boss Gennaro Gattuso after a run of three defeats and a draw in AC Milan’s last four Serie A matches. Gazidis believes Pochettino is the man to lead the Rossoneri back to their former glories, having seen him at close quarters during his time at The Emirates Stadium.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy probably shouldn’t lose too much sleep over the reports, however, as Pochettino turned down Real Madrid to stay at the club and has recently spoken of his desire to bring success to the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
