Kevin Akpoguma was once again overlooked for selection as Hoffenheim lost 4-1 at Mainz in the Bundesliga on Saturday, Completesports.com reports.
The defeat to Mainz means Hoffenheim have only managed one win in their last five games, suffering four defeats.
They are in eight place on 36 points after 29 games in the 18-team league table.
Akpoguma has now been benched in back-to-back games for Hoffenheim.

He last featured for his side on 16 March, 2024, in a 3-0 home loss to Stuttgart.
He was in the starting line-up against Stuttgart before he was pulled out before the second half commenced.
The 28-year-old has made 14 appearances in the league for Hoffenheim this season.
He was not included in the Super Eagles squad that finished second at the African Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
His last appearance for the Eagles was in June 2023 against Sierra Leone in the AFCON 2023 qualifiers
He came on in the 71st minute for Bright Osayi-Samuel as the Eagles won 3-2.
