Falcons should have had a permanent coach right now.
Not Eguavoen, sir.
Leaving him to run through the olympics qualifiers means also he’ll be in charge of WAFCON 2028 qualifiers.
No way.
Olympics qualifiers end next year November-December.
How many friendly windows will remain until 2028 WAFCON when it will likely happen in June 2028 (along with euros) or even March sef?
We’ve been there with Eguavoen how he floundered in afcon after 2006 bronze.
We better find a new coach as quick as yesterday, in the interest of our rankings and 2028 WAFCON so that they can get used to the playing style.
No, not Eguavoen again.
E go be like film oh if we no come out of group stage in WAFCON this time around.
That is, assuming we reached the final round of Olympics qualifiers where we would meet either Algeria/CIV/Cameroon/Burkina faso.
I already assumed (again) we breezed past Morocco (round 3) and the winner between Mali/Senegal in round 4.
Unless we really want to relive the Malawi/Cameroon/RSA experiences at the last WAFCON again and again, now is the time to get a new coach of falcons.
Yes, Eguavoen and his players didn’t lose to 187th ranked comoros this past week even if the opponent was really toothless but Malawi was ranked 184th and we crashed to them.
Balon dor nominee began the rot. Eguavoen, from his antecedents, will only rub it in.
NFF, get your acts together. I thought adidas and FIFA have increased your revenues.
Get to work.
You’ve disgraced our cadet teams time and time again. Falcons are still darlings.
Fix them up and fast.
importantly, the 10 times WAFCON dominators have only appeared at the olympics games 4 times.
2000, 2004, 2008 and after 16 years absence, 2024.
Yet, wafcons were always held every 2 years
So, this is falcons substitute for the world cup that failure coach made them miss out with all the talent in his squad.
Don’t gamble again, NFF.
Even if it’s not beyond your power to do so
