Zimbabwe coach Michael Nees has disclosed that the Super Eagles potential far exceeds their current position in Group C of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Recall that Nigeria will face Zimbabwe a few days after battling Rwanda when the qualifiers resume in March. The last time both teams met, the game ended 1-1.

Speaking with CAFonline, Nees stated that Nigeria remains one of the top teams in African football.
“Nigeria is a wounded lion and therefore very dangerous. Their potential far exceeds their current position in the group. When you look at African footballers, Nigeria remains one of the top teams,” Nees told CAFonline.
“We have a challenge, but we take it step by step, match by match, and even training by training. There are so many variables in football, and we’ll approach it wisely,” the German tactician added.

Wise words from you coach, the real soccer enthusiasts will understand that the super eagles are a wounded lion!! Once everything is settled, they r a formidable force on their day! Imagine a team currently with the immediate past and present APOTY, languishing at the bottom of the table! We cannot wait for March Madness!! 6points winnable points is all it takes to get back on track
If you desire, have eleven APOTY inyour team, if you are not disciplined and have hunger enough to play at the World Cup, then your case will be like the France team of 2002 World Cup.
They had the goleadors of England ((Thiery Henry), Italy (David Trezeguet) and France (Djibril Cisse) and yet did not score a single goal at that World Cup.
