Super Eagles players have vowed to secure the 2026 FIFA World Cup ticket despite their poor qualifying campaign so far.
The Eagles suffered a huge setback in the qualifiers after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Benin Republic on Monday in Abidjan.
The defeat leaves the Eagles in fifth place on three points after four games.
Benin Republic go top of the group on seven points courtesy of their win against the Eagles.

“We have had talks among ourselves and have resolved to fight hard till the end to ensure we do the impossible which is qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. We don’t take your support for granted, we thank you immensely.”

Is Better you Don’t qualify for the world cup before you go there and disgrace a Nation Nigerian….
This team is not supposed to be called super eagles, they’s nothing super about them… Small Benin rubbish unnah shame no catch Unna
you are very correct!
Wait but they also vowed to beat SA and Benin one of them even said there is no way SA and Benin can stop us. You see ehn Super Eagles and @CSN stop this mumu headlines una get mind o. So you have not learn from your arrogance and moreover we dont want to hear about your mumu team again until a coach in the class of Herve Reynard or Similar is employed. For now park news about that Mumu team we want good news, and the only good news is that Finidi sacking. Thank you.
Super Eagles vows to do what? And you think we believe them mumu CSN mumu Super Eagles Mtcheeew!!!
And you dot Nationals were clamouring for the A.mumuneke to coach, abi? When are you going to stop being emotional. Even with Peter, that was how you were all and what was the outcome? Hehe
Vow to continue sabotaging the team with that daft dumbo dummy coach!
I know the ineffective nff and it’s agbero Picnic are looking to exploit the situation.
Hopefully common sense prevails and let them.understand that dress room has been lost. It will be hard for finidi or any local coach to salvage the situation. The ogogoro master overlooked leaders and commited players for the eri eris, senior bench man, social media hypes, wig player, dongo..
Whom are they kidding??????. Obviously, they are talking to themselves. Yeye boys.
O yes, they are talking about the 2036 World Cup. So long as they have Finito as their manager, that is what it is, FINITO.
Yes, they have failed. What the NFF should do now is to check the Benin Republic’s players and see if any of them was ineligible to play yesterday’s match.
They also could have set a trap for Benin Republic. A former Nigeria U-20 player would have played for them and that would have led to reducing their points and awarding them to use. I wouldn’t say much about this here because these guys at the NFF aren’t smart enough.
You’re absolutely right. I thought as much, they are only smart share from Finidi’s salary.
Finidi also should resign. He doesn’t have the technical and tactical ability to handle this team. He talks too much. The NFF should try as much as possible to replace him Samson Siasia whose ban would be over in August or go for former Cameroonian coach who was interview before if he’s still available.
My brother,no local coach can do it at this point in time. Let us not deceive ourselves.
Nigeria has the money, they should go for the best coach.
With good coach.I believe that Super Eagles will still qualify for 2026 world cup.
I said it immediately Finidi was appointed as Super Eagles coach that NFF had made a big mistake.
My instinct abt this finish from the day he was appointment was zero, even though my comment for going against his appointment was then purely non soccer bcos I hate his look on the touchline with that mumu goatie or what shd I call that his ugly beard, he has know charisma or whatsoever that even make u look good as a coach, but that’s what our NFF threw at us, may be we shd have even retain eguavoen, by now he would have mastered his coaching game.
Hahahaha! Eguavoen is a kingmaker or go check the responsibility of NFF technical department.
The same way you all vowed to defeat Ghana in Abuja in 2021. When you have incompetent coach fielding players based on sentiments no amount of promise will hold water.
Truth is Finidi only coached Enyimba taking them to on top of the useless Nigeria league. He never took them pass the group stages of CAF champions league unlike coach Okey Emordi who won CAF champions league back to back.
Siasia has been tested at under 20, Amuneke at under 17 but Finidi? None!
Finidi should have been drafted to under 17 or under 20 before taking him straight to the Super Eagles. It is obvious the Super Eagles shoes are too big for him!
Truth is you can’t give what you don’t have!
Ééér make efrybodi go rest till next fa. Even the minister make i rest
Mumu NFF picked a muni coach who gave mumu instructions to mumu boys (strictly b/c non of them was bold enough to reject Finidi), and got mumu results!
All these fashion parade boys call eagle still get mouth to talk. It is only new jersy all of you are called to model not to play football.
This thing will still affect you guys career as well. Keep on breaking the hearts of Nigerian and keep on rushing to media to make an empty vow every now and then.
Finito is a ye-ye mumu indult. All those who support Home-based manager equally put Nigeria in this embarrassing predicament. Finito should be fired right away. omo9ja is number one cuprite.
