Super Eagles head coach Finidi George claimed his side have no fear for the Squirrels of Benin Republic.
The Squirrels are currently managed by former Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr.
The two teams will clash in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matchday four encounter at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Monday.

Rohr was in charge of the Super Eagles for six years before he was sacked by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
“He should be the one to be fearful (of the Super Eagles),” Finidi told reporters.
“We want to win the game, we will take risk to win.
“We should repeat the second half performance against South Africa in Abidjan, that will give us a positive result that will change the narrative and that’s what we want to do on Monday.”

Finidi George, Talk less, do more on the pitch in Abidjan on Monday.
You guys played very well against South Africa in the second half. If you continue to the way you played against South Africa in the second half, no team will be able to defeat you especially if we have our full striking forces.
The difference between 1st and 5th on the table is just 2 points.
With 3/10 matches played.
Long way to go.
You’re right, the group is still very open. No need to panic, really. There’s just even a single point between us and SA and they have -1 goal difference. I know we’ll beat them at home. Except my intuition is wrong (and they hardly are), Nigeria will win 90 to 100% of the remaining 7 matches. Maybe 6 wins and a draw. They won’t lose a single one.
Go for 4;4;2.. formation. Pair Boniface and lookman upfront. U will be happy u did
He won’t keep quiet now and let his performance talk for him. After he will come and say something else.
“Person wey dem wan burn, wey dey take palm oil rub body. Ok o, we are watching.
Lookman is crying that he is not a winger. Pair that guy upfront o….
You must be one of those wey wan burn am!
He has started talking rubbish again.
Bros, let them talk i know you will perform wonders. Patience is the key
Talk and talk will not help you. Only rookie talk talk so. Our respected former Oga do not talk anyhow. He may silence you for good. See how rookie Finidi mis-use the world acclaimed Lookman by placing him differently at the left wing.
World acclaimed indeed. Abeg stop coming here to over-hype the guy biko, he had several opportunities to give us the lead, but his selfish attitude wouldn’t allow him pass the ball. Wants to dribble every dick and harry. So what’s the issue playing him on the left. Doesn’t he play the same position at Atalanta. Well he is right everyone is now a coach.
If these guys like let them not qualify. It’ll be a shame bcos the next opportunity will be in 2030. By then they’ll all be above 30 – Ndidi that’s saying we must not win every match will be 33(football age), Lookman will be 32, Owobi 34, Osmhen, 31 etc. And the way we’ve not been qualifying for age grade football, well…
This is a new low…. Nigeria not afraid of Benin republic. Just like how kick off reported that south Africa drops point after the Nigerian match.
Nigerian football fans are so passionately so but are thry genuine or just faking?. The Super Eagles Coach is just 2 weeks on the saddle and all that he needs now is total support from the East, West, North and South.
When foreigners handle the super eagles, qualifying for tournaments becomes a stroll in the park, when indigenes are given same opportunity it becomes a mountain to qualify for ordinary tournament…..That is when you will see football minos become Brazil, Argentina, Spain…..
It’ll be as if we’re in the deadliest group……
The 2 times we missed the world cup, it was our very own that caused Nigeria the ticket….. I’ll not say history is about to repeat itself.
Give this super eagles team to OGA gernot rohr with the caliber of players we’ve, he’ll Walk over this group without a single defeat….
Infact, he’ll qualify from this cheapest group with 3 games to spare…. He did it in the past, he can still do it.
I want to use this time to apologize to gernot rohr on behalf of Nigeria, please forgive us the way and manner we treated you, I’m one of your fan, I really liked and appreciated your results oriented pattern of football.
You made us know that qualifying for tournaments is as simple as ABC…..
You made us feel we were Brazil of Africa after a long years of such feelings……
You made us know the outcome of any match even before the blast of the whistle….. hence our watching of football with ease and free state of mind.
You make us forget about combination and permutation….
You make us get rid of our calculator and calculating machine…..
Under your guidance we never expected Kenya to defeat Brazil, and Eyimba to force Barca to a goalless draw before NIGERIA will qualify …..
We enjoyed all these benefits with an ungrateful heart and at the end of the day, our ignorant youth connived with politicians, football agents and our greedy NFF and sport minister to chase you out in a shameful way……
We really regret it…… Even those people are now crying in secret wishing they could over turn time but it’s too late…..
Help us please…..
Don’t mind our arrogant coach that knows nothing next to tactics, it’s our way as Nigerians (gra gra)…..
Don’t follow his proud and arrogant comments because if you do, we’re automatically out of the world cup for the 2nd consecutive times…
Remember that first love you showed towards Nigeria, permit your boys to let in at least 2 goals on Monday……
We need at least 3points and 2 goals to start off for now…..
Oga Rohr please help us….. Our government has really dealt with us badly and football seems to be the only thing that brings joy to the youth, help Us please…..
Time Will fail me to say more, but please help Nigerian youth….. We need only 3 points on Monday.
I know they’ll come out to brag but don’t mind them, the whole world have seen that our home based coaches are empty vessels that makes loudest noise
…. They lack in everything.
They know nothing about coaching a team…… Hence they can’t work outside NFF job….

Thanks for adhering to our plea.
