Bravo NFF. See your mates. Appointing a coach a day to month end DOES NOT MEAN they’ll pay him July salary. That’s what the clueless glasshouse have been pussyfooting around with not to employ a coach for the lethargic Eagles. Money wey no be your own. Continue. When history is recalled, no be my name dem go call for incompetent football administration. Rubbish.
Incredible! How did Zimbabwe manage to pull off this feat? Such a difficult task in under a month? We’re so flabbergasted in Nigeria.
Maybe the Zimbabwean FA have some geniuses or magicians on their board. …Because we just can’t wrap our heads around such a miracle of appointing a coach for the national team without so much back-and-forth, hue and cry, hullabaloo and what nots.
Pheews. Big, big kudos to you guys.
Our own NFF are really trying, and we honestly empathize with them. They’re such a hard-working bunch! They’ve been on the rocket science coding project for a technical adviser appointment just since June 10. Yeah, not long ago, I know.
But I suspect they’ve made about 40% progress now. They just got off a very strenuous and draining appointment marathon in June after six months of committees over committees meetings, announcements, and denials before they finally and miraculously discovered the gem Finidi George, the then assistant coach.
Hopefully, we will get our new coach before November 30. Maybe this time, after all the sleepless nights and endless board meetings, they could discover Salisu Ibrahim or Ladan Bosso as the new SE coach the whole country had been yearning for.
Like Finidi, they probably would have been hiding in plain sight for 6 months before being suddenly and magically discovered by the NFF!
This job of selecting a coach, e hard ooo. E no easy at all.
Especially when hidden agenda dey. A coach that will be willing to share salary, but also good enough to get the job done. Not easy to find!
So come March 2025, when the Zimbabwe Warriors come to town, it will be a tactical battle between Michael Nees and one of OUR OWN.
Unu never see anything.
And to top it all, at least 70% of the team will be comprised of home based players. After all, no be ordinary Zimbabwe? Besides, coach that they’re not even paying go chop too now. Abi e no go chop?
Make person no just ment because of NFF ONIGBESE. Is this how to prepare for crucial Afcon and world cup qualifiers?
The reason all this mess is happening is that NFF is untouchable.
Tie their jobs to results. If there is success, their job continues. If it is failure, sack every man jack out of there. There needs to be grave consequences for failure. This is the way forward.
Meanwhile Nigeria is still looking for coach with African experience as if Westeroff get African experience when he arrived here.
