The Super Eagles of Nigeria have welcomed newly invited Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Nathan Tella to the team.
The Super Eagles will play Lesotho on November 16 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo and Zimbabwe three days later at the Huye Stadium, Butare in a Group C encounter.
Tella has been handed a maiden invitation by head coach Jose Peseiro for the qualifiers.
The 24-year-old’s was celebrated on the Super Eagles X handle following his call-up.
“Everyone make welcome, Nathan Temitayo Tella to the team!,” the post read.
The versatile winger was born in England to Nigerian parents and was eligible to represent both countries.
The player has however opted to represent Nigeria on the international scene.
Tella joined Bundesliga outfit, Bayer Leverkusen from Southampton in the summer.
He started his career at Arsenal and once spent time on loan at Burnley.

I like this Tella guy. He talked a lot of patriotic stuff and marketed himself into the squad. Now let’s see if he can walk the talk
