Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has said South Africa will make things difficult for the team in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture.
The West Africans will host Hugo Broos’ men in a matchday three encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday.
Finidi George’s side have made a poor start to life in the qualifiers drawing their first two games against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
The three-time African champions now need to beat the South Africans to get their campaign back on track.

The Super Eagles defeated South Africa in their semi-final tie at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in February.
Musa believed Bafana Bafana have additional motivation to beat Nigeria.
“The game against South Africa is going to be tough because we eliminated them in the semifinal of the Africa Cup of Nations,” Musa told ESPN.
“And our Super Falcons also eliminated their women’s team from the Olympics so they will come for revenge because they will not want us to eliminate them from the World Cup, too.
“But we are playing at home so we don’t have to panic, we just have to give our best and do what we know how to do best on the pitch.”

You’re a true de-trivialises Nigerian. But you’re being manipulated and used by the sit-tight northern folks. How I wish you could be your own man and throw in the towel. The handwriting on the board is not coming out good for you . . . gradual abandonment and rejection.
@CSN this typeof media coverage you are doing? where do you people think it will take our ball???.
Why Musa news, we all know he talks big sometimes to our own detriment because he is very boastfull all the time with no end product.
