George Finidi will use his hands to destroy Super Eagles… I think he is a yes man. NFF wants to start collecting huge transfer commission on local players sale now and Finidi is the man to further their objective… this dude Ismail invited is a certified oldie… he can’t be less than 35yrs…
My only problem is that, with a few Super Eagles caps under his belt, this Sodiq Ismail might just fly off the NPFL nest.
If not, this guy seems the real deal. A no-nonsense defender with crunching tackles and a fabulous crossing deliveries. If played on the left, his inswingers could prove lethal to oppositions.
For those clamouring for NPFL inclusion, the addition of Sodiq Ismail should satisfy their cravings. For those who believe the local league has zero talents to offer, Head Coach Finidi has just laid the foundations of future areas of criticism if he falls short.
For me, I was impressed with the clips I saw of Sodiq which are encapsulated in his impressive goals-assists stats.
I hope it works well for Sodiq and Head Coach Finidi.
10 assists for a Right Back tells the whole story. Welcome to SE Sodiq.
Home based players should focus on CHAN. There are better players abroad.
…”crunching tackles” equals primitive player. Any neanderthal can be a Roy Keane, but defensive elegance and brains like Uche Okechukwu and Maldini makes you top class.
The side of his game that I like is his deliveries into the box. Great technique.
That’s perhaps what caught Finidi’s eye, who himself was a technician of this fine art.
The question though is – IS A WORLD CUP QUALIFIER THE BEST WAY TO TEST A PLAYER?
With so much at stake?
Time will tell!
