Former Nigerian international, Alloy Agu has advised the Super Eagles to put behind the 1-1 draw against Lesotho and focus on the Zimbabwe’s game slated for Sunday in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The game which was played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo saw the visitors draw first blood through Motlomelo Mkhawanazi in the 56th minute off a corner.
Semi Ajayi in the 67th minute came to Nigeria’s rescue with a fine header after being left unmarked in the box.

However, reacting to the result, Alloy Agu told Completesports.com that Nigeria must buckle up and focus on their next game against Zimbabwe.
“The qualifiers have just started and it will be too early to predict what will happen until the end of the qualifying games. So anything can happen in the game of football. That shows that football has gone beyond what it use to be before.
“This simply means that the team must put this result behind them and focus on the next game against Zimbabwe, by coming out with the needed victory and we are back on track.”

Keep quiet!! This is how you to contribute to eagle goalkeeping headache. Does this team have midfield players at all?
Why is it each time either iwobi and Ndidi didn’t play or one of them missing Nigeria struggle to score?
All of you there including all the technical team are useless with that yeye coach you guys are parading.
You took the words out of my mouth, the clown should STFU he is the architect of the goalkeeping crisis we are having now.
THIS COACH AS NOTHING TO OFFER, SACK HIM IF YOU LOVE THE SUPER EAGLES AND GET A COMPETENT COACH.
This coach obviously can’t handle Nigeria national team,it seems bigger than him, the disappointment during his tenure is becoming too much
Shut up people like are the one the problem of Nigeria football. Don’t know what is exclusive in the interview completesports always granted to this yeye ex player. Thought they said eagles will be every team hands down because they had the players others didn’t have yeye
Shut up Mazi Alloy Agu ,
With what i see in Uzoho against Lesotho (Ranked 156) match today shows we don’t truly know what we are doing in the goal keeping department ,As for Coach Peisairo How can a Coach have so much pool of talented players of this magnitudes but fails repeatedly on how to square them in certain targets for each matches hhhhhmm? What was Moses Simon doing in bench that he couldn’t start him in this match up untill we conceded in the second half of the match? For me if NFF fails to sack him then we should kiss the World Cup qualifiers good bye because South Africa will qualify ahead of us meanwhile the coming Nations Cup in Abidjan will be a another debacle if this current coaching crew is to leads us in January. I rest my case enough said because as it stands today everything about Nigeria is indeed sick begging for healing.
As long as the coach didn’t want to do elimination by substitution in the eagles team this is wat wil keep happening. A situation where the coach want a player to retire by himself from the team wil keep him getting this type of result.
Ask some older eagles players wat happened to dem in training.they lost their place in the team whenever a new guy outshine Dem in training not even during important games .
Any players not performing in his club knows he is likely not going to get invited . But look at this team…
And go ask the white witch doctor then Philip trousers..his team is set up to win with the formation even his players don’t like . Of which he won all his game with counter attack.both home and away to qualify for the France 98 .. and he even can to Nigeria 99 world cup to help Japan wil the under 20 silver after he was sent away because dey nfa don’t like his method which he also used to help Japan in 2002 to get to the quarter final …
So if paceiro felt he can continue with his attacks style, Africa team can’t be cajole with that again .
Even Benin rohr wil show ur eagles if u don’t wake up to get a structured team.
Na primary school teacher be peserrio, nff is using him to cash out, players like uzoho is giving him half of his match allowance, nff is paying him peanuts and cashing in on his contract salary.everything nigeria is a frsud.
Today’s performance however disappointing it was, doesn’t take anything away from my strong belief that SE will definitely win next year AFCON. WE ARE WINNING IT MARK MY WORD. Fatigue as well as Peseiro foolish insistence to continue with Uzoho who is ckearly not himself at the moment were the major cause of today’s lethargic performance. Anyway these qualifier will fine tune the team going into AFCON, as all pretenders will eventually be exposed and expelled. Hopefully Peseiro don’t continue to be stupid.
My people, you guys should remember we don’t have good people in that NFF, all of them are corupt! You can’t blame players, blame NFF and Ode coach, is Nigeria not bigger than this coach? We have players to go far but poor FA and academy coach, pls don’t blame those Boyz. If you see what’s going in side that corot NFF , you won’t allow your siblings to play for Nigeria
Dissolve Nigeria Fail Federation, (NFF) That’s is the solution.
Good morning, Mr President dissolve Nigeria Fail federation.
Privatization is the best
for Nigeria Fail Federation.(NFF).
