Five Super Eagles players have just arrived Uyo ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.
Super Eagles Media Officer, Promise Efoghe, disclosed this on Tuesday.
According to Efoghe Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Frank Onyeka and Paul Onuachu have joined their colleagues in camp.
The players could not arrive early as it was not Possible to connect a flight to Uyo due to the Labour strike which was announced on Monday, 3 June. The strike has been called off today (Tuesday).
Following the arrival of the five players, the number of players currently in camp is now 20.
The three players still being expected are Maduka Okoye, Ademola Lookman and Alex Iwobi.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles did not train on Tuesday morning but will at back on the pitch at 4pm in a closed session.
After two games in Group C, the Eagles are in two points while matchday 3 and 4 opponents South Africa and Benin Republic are second and bottom respectively.
