Wilfred Ndidi has said coming up against former coach Gernot Rohr is enough motivation for the Super Eagles players ahead Monday’s World Cup qualifier.
Rohr was head coach of the Eagles from 2016 to 2021 and qualified them for the 2019 and 2021 AFCONs.
Also, he qualified the team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Speaking ahead of the matchday 4 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, Ndidi said:”Gernot Rohr coached us for five years, we didn’t lose, yes, facing him is a motivation because we know he is a good coach and he’s going to plan to win and we approaching that game, we have to show him that he actually miss something in the team, I think that’s what we have to do now.”
Ndidi added:”We know why we are here, we want to know, we want to qualify for the World Cup and everyone is on high spirit.”
