Former Nigerian international, Alloy Agu has revealed that the Super Eagles missed the goal scoring prowess against Lesotho and Zimbabwe in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Recall that the Napoli striker missed the two matches due to injury he sustained in the international friendly game against Saudi Arabia.
In his absence, Nigeria managed to hold Lesotho and Zimbabwe 1-1 respectively.

However, in a chat with Completesports.com, Alloy Agu stated that the quality Osimhen brings to the team can’t be overemphasized.
“Every player have got its own attributes and contributions towards a game and you can’t take that away from Osimhen. Osimhen is an hardworking player and there is a difference he brings to the team and it’s always there for everybody to see.
Notwithstanding, every other player have something to contribute and that is what we call a team game. But then, Osimhen is always a plus when you have him in the team and I think we really missed him against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.”
