Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has expressed his readiness to return to the senior national team ahead of the resumption of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in March.
The Rangers star’s last game for the Nigerian National Team came in Nigeria’s 10-0 victory over Sao Tome and Principe in June 2022 where he came off the bench for the final nineteen minutes.

Speaking with Brila FM, Balogun stated that he still has a lot to offer to the Super Eagles.
“If I’m involved in some type of way, you know you’re going to get 110% from me always, and I’ll try to push that onto the rest.
“Whether I’m playing from the bench, I don’t care. For me, my personal target when it comes to Nigeria is to get back in the squad as soon as possible to be of help,” the former Mainz 05 man said as revealed by Brila.
