We all knew that the result from last match with Benin Republic was from coach error and ego of some few players. Let Mbappe of Madrid join them they will always collect slaps from Super Eagles of Nigeria.
When it comes to Super Eagles of Nigeria this news is useless.
God bless Nigeria.
As if we have been beating them 5-0, 8-0 in the past.
We have only always managed to eke out narrow wins against Benin and I cant remember when last we had a flawless victory against us.
They have eliminated us from CHAN once and one of their clubs just booted out our FA cup champions from the CAF Confed Cup this past weekend.
Coaching error or not, they won Nigeria flat out on a neutral ground and have pulled some interesting 1-1, 2-2 draws against the last two AFCON champions in recent past (abi those ones too na coaching error), which shows they won’t lie low to be steamrolled by anyone.
3 or 4 more quality additions like this PSG player in the squad can make them more formidable in the near future.
Learn to show some respect.
We were slapping Angola too left right and centre before they slapped us out of the 2006 WC. If that did not teach yall a lesson, we’ve just been slapped out of the 2026 WC when we’ve not even reached half way point of the qualifiers yet.
Let’s learn some humility from our humiliations. The fact that something has happened before only means it can happen again. The previous time it was “coaching error”, who knows what may happen this time around.
That we will meet both Rwanda and Benin twice, before we meet them again in the remainder of the WCQ calls for some caution in how we blurt out emptily braggadocious statements all over the place.
