Former Super Eagles coach Adegboye Onigbinde has warned that the senior national team must prepare well if they are to overcome Benin, Rwanda, and Libya in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Onigbinde made this known against the backdrop of the team’s poor start to their 2026 World Cup qualifiers, where the Super Eagles currently sit fifth on the table without a win.

However, in a chat with CompleteSports.com, the former CAF and FIFA instructor stated that the team must prepare adequately to get the right results.
“All the teams in the group have equal chances of qualifying for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations because it’s a game of eleven players.
“Everything depends on how the Super Eagles prepare for their qualifying campaign. Mind you, it’s not automatic, and it’s not by magic.
“How we prepare depends on our administration and technical crew, which will be key to the success of the team.”
