Abi Plumptre don take style retire from international football?
After witnessing NFF ONIGBESE shenanigans, especially the FIFA bonus debacle, and the endless squabbling with coach Waldrum, perhaps the girl don taya.
As for Onumonu, she spoke out against NFF recently. Is her exclusion payback?
Hmmm.
Which Plumptre retire? A beg rest. I have insider information but I share it with you. Who you be? I will only share my info with contribors like Glory, AYTheGr8t and Dr Drey.
Park well my guy.
Who I be? Really?
I guess I have to update my files on you, Deo. You’ve transitioned from gentleman to rabble rousing trouble maker. But I understand. Recent Super Eagles results can do that to you.
As for Plumptre, it’s just odd that she’s not been listed post world cup.
Makes one wonder what’s going on.
A goat is definitely impersonating @DEO. The fool is deliberately targeting @POMPEI in order to create rift between two of the best analysts and gentlemen on this forum! Shameless, hideous nitwit
Hahaha:)
In all seriousness, Plumptre recently released this statement on X stating she has to listen to her body when considering national team invitation.
I believe I must listen to my body in order to bring all of myself to this special Super Falcons team,” She said after been excused from a recent Olympic qualifier
Further, she anticipated joining the Nigeria’s ladies in future.
“Always, proud to wear the Super Falcons Green, and I look forward to representing the colours again soon.”
Is that so?
Even me too, I have to start listening to my body when it comes to NFF ONIGBESE and the Super Eagles. If man no take time, dem go kill person with high BP and frustration.
Na to just activate siddon look mode now. Let’s sit back and watch NFF ONIGBESE completely destroy our football.
I will be back
I like Ify Omunomu, but apart from the fact that we don’t need all of our big guns for Cape Verde, she has been struggling if we are to be honest – not just with the Falcons but more tellingly at club level, where she has ZERO league goals this year and has been largely a reserve (not even listed in Gotham’s match day squad in the championship game).
Yr a total wanjer
Who is Rihanat Kasali? That for me is another name out of the blues but I have no doubt fervent followers of the Nigeria Women’s Football League will be conversant with her.
I think it is welcome development to see her and Glory Edet as fresh faces in Super Falcons defence. I also welcome Christiana Obia to her place as third choice goalkeeper. Monle Oyono (former Falconets goalkeeper) is slowly fading further into the shadows.
The exciting former Falconets duo of Flourish Sabastine and Esther Onyenezide continue to find it hard to establish their places in the Super Falcons having been overlooked this time around.
Diminutive midfielder Deborah Abiodun makes her long awaited return after capturing the imagination of the fans at the World Cup with fellow World Cup stars Echegini and Okoronkwo also staging comebacks.
Plumptre continues to excuse herself as part of her personal fitness/injury management protocol, similar to how Victor Moses used to cherry pick the invitations he would honour in the Super Eagles.
Let’s be honest, the Super Falcons are loaded. It will be a huge disappointment for this group of supremely talented to miss the Olympics.
Cameroon lie in wait in February but for now this Wafcon qualifier games against Cape Verde should be a stroll in the park for the Super Falcons.
Good luck.
Kasali is actually a good player, but yet IMHO does not deserve to be in the squad for this Cape Verde tie.
With all due respect to Cape Verde, the tie does not really require all of our big guns (almost all the starters have nonetheless been invited, except for Alozie and the ‘recuperating’ Plumptre), and we need to continue building squad depth. However, it should be fine systematically and not haphazardly.
Kasali was included in the most recent U20 Falconets squad that played against Tanzania and was a BACKUP (reserve) player to Jumoke Alani. Accordingly, why invite her to the Falcons’ squad (while dropping Alani who was in the last SF’s squad vs Ethiopia – but perhaps didn’t meet the SF’s standards in camp).
Meanwhile, I understand (through the grapevine) that Esther Onyenezide has been belatedly called up to replace Halimatu Ayinde on the list. Onyenezide’ s omission in the first instance was in itself a real head-scratcher, moreso given that one of Echegini or Abiodun will be UNAVAILABLE for this tie.
PS: Regarding my last sentence, Echegini’s FSU will be playing against Abiodun’s Pitt this coming Friday in one of the regional finals of the NCAA women’s soccer tournament, and the winner of that game will advance to the NCAA’s soccer “final four” – the College Cup – which will run from December 1-4!
Bro, I thought Echegini has signed for Juventus Ladies, is she still playing NCAA???
Nah, Echegini is still at Florida State University, where she was voted ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference) Offensive Player of the Year for the regular collegiate season.
I know a lot of people are wondering why we have the big guns for the little cape Verde. I believe there are about three reasons for this.
The most obvious reason is to nail our qualification for WAFCON without any doubt or uncertainty. With the way relative small football nations are springing surprises, abeg we no want get another super eagles high BP. So, if we need to crush them , that is better than taking chances.
Secondly, with the influx of new players, I believe the coaches want to build on the team chemistry. What better environment than having all the ladies engaged at the same time.
Thirdly, this would serve as a training matches to implement attacking, defending, and game transitions. It will also serve as the platform to experiment some strategic game plan. As such, I won’t be surprised to see a lot of player changes after the half time. The coaches would want to see the limits of some of the new players. It will be fun and I wish them well.
WHY IS THE NIGERIA FOOTBALL FEDERATION NOT COMPLETING THE CONTRACT OF COACH wALDRUM?Do THEY WANT US TO FIND OURSELVES IN A TIGHT CORNER BEFORE THEY START RUNNING AROUND?
PLEASE LET THOSE SADDLED WITH THE TASK OF RENEWING HIS CONTRACT ACT NOW AND FAST.
