Royal Aces Basketball Club’s captain, Ruth Udueyin, has expressed her confidence ahead of their first-ever game in the NBBF/Zenith Women’s Premier League against Nigeria Customs on Monday, September 2, 2024, Completesports.com reports.
The Abuja-based Royal Aces are in the Savannah Conference of Nigeria’s top-flight basketball league, which is set to start on Sunday, September 1.

In a chat with Completesports.com, Udueyin expressed optimism, attributing the club’s preparedness to the mental strength instilled by their coach, which will help them face any opponent.
“We are a work in progress. We have a mix of young players and quick legs, along with experienced ones. We’re coming out with positive and high energy because we cannot afford to let our fans down, especially as a new team,” Udueyin told Completesports.com.
“We are working tirelessly to make our name known. Mentally, we are proud of our coach for the preparation he has provided, cheering us up and ensuring we are at our best.
“And I believe with all this, we have the right to be in the league as champions.”
Other Matchday One fixtures include Air Warriors versus debutants Titans, while Kada Angels will face Plateau Rocks. Nasarawa Babes will lock horns with Nigeria Army.
