Falconets striker Chiamaka Okwuchukwu is among the nominees for the 2024 International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) Women’s World Best Youth Player award.
Okwuchukwu will battle 29 other players for the individual accolade.
The youngster was recognised for her impressive displays for the Falconets at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.

The Rivers Angels forward registered two goals and one assist in four appearances for the Flamingos at the competition.
Chris Danjuma’s side were eliminated in the Round of 16 by Japan.
Senegal’s Hapsatou Diallo and Cameroon’s Monique Ngock are the other African players on the shortlist.
Spain and Barcelona forward Salma Paralluelo won the award last year.

Okwuchukwu was phenomenal in the last under20 female world cup.I identified her as falconets best player,her all action style is a beauty watch reminds me of Banda of Zambia and South African Thembi Kgatlana.
