Wow wow wow…. I am really impressed; the ladies deserve an award for their performance. Lovely babes, please keep this up……For the first-time ranking tenth is a great achievement.
Let move to a greater height.
You are all better than the male team anytime any day…I am very very happy.
Lets celebration with caution so it wont seem as though we have no ambition. Spain have won that cup now in just their third appearance at the world cup. Nigeria has been there right from inception in all the exitions with nothing to show. Its a mind boggling revelation and food for thought. We need to win that cup latest next two editions. We can do it with deliberate planning.
With this feet nff will find it difficult as in very rear excuse to sack waldrum. No just look at the nations ahead of Nigeria now;Spain, England,Sweden, Australia,Japan,Netherland,USA I mean these are giants when it comes to women football.
So once again I congratulate the entire team. Logically even fifa knew that if Nigeria had beaten England, chances are there that we might reach final or even win it.
Spain Under 17 Women’s world Champions, Under 20 Women’s world champions and now Senior Women’s world champions. The only category they do not have at the moment is Olympic gold. What a country, what a bunch of talents. Congratulations Spain. Sure there is something you guys are doing right as regards female football
Well they may as well win the next Olympics!
The secret is grassroot development, Nigeria can be at that level if we go back to grassroot development . The Australian govt. voted about 250 million dollars for grassroot development of football in their country as soon as the World cup came to an end. There is no magic to success in football , our girls showcased their talents at the just concluded tournament in Australia/New Zealand with no formal developmental structures , you can imagine what they could have done if they had been groomed from about the age of five like most of their opponents enjoyed in their various countries.
Well I hinted about falcon getting to the tenth position in females football after the world cup but was bullied here .. the rest his history…
@Sportradio89.0fm;
Nobody bullied you bro, they simply explained the points technicalities of the FIFA monthly ranking to you which would make it almost impossible for our Queens to get into 10th on the FIFA ranking. Please re-read the article up there again, the ranking referred to there is for the just concluded competition (World Cup) and not the monthly FIFA ranking.
Thank you, was trying to place what the jubilation is all about, like I’m I reading something diff. Niii? The post is for the WC and not the real ranking.
Which is more authentic.. world cup grade or monthly grade without competition s.. our mumu done do
OK fine. What is most important is the FIFA ranking for all nations, where Nigeria must improve from 30.
Presently we are on 40 spot. But then, 16 teams qualified after the group stages. We didn’t make it to the Q/final. But it means only USA and maybe Japan were teams overall than Nigeria among those teams that didn’t go past the round of 16.
We would surely get there and that may likely be soon. The US coach retained and new talented players from Europe invited especially England and the United States. Then, no team would ever defeat Nigeria.
