The chairman of the Nigerian Women’s Football League (NWFL), Aisha Falode, has reiterated that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will still be responsible for the payment of 2023 Women’s World Cup prize money to the Super Falcons.
Falode made this known on the backdrop of reports that FIFA will directly pay the Super Falcons player their money instead of the NFF.
Recall that every player participating in the World Cup group stage will earn $30,000. The match bonuses will rise to $60,000 in the second round of the competition.
However, Falode in an interview with Lagos Talks FM, said that FIFA did not say it would pay the players directly. But then, she stated that NFF will receive the funds from which to pay the Super Falcons.
“FIFA did not say it would pay the players directly. It says working through the member association – working through your federations, we will pay you this money through the federations.
“FIFA will pay the federations the money, and the federation pays the players with the instruction. Everybody knows it is there in black and white,” Falode said.

LMFAO…
NAIJA I BOW!!
Much Ado about money that doesnt belong to them.
Madam Falode is being clever by a half and trying to dodge the real issue here. And that is will the girls get their money as soon as FIFA pays…..???
Or will it be fixed in an account by the thieves in NFF for 1 year to yield interest to be stolen, while the girls are being fed with 1 excuse or another….???
Will the players be played their 60k + 2 years bonuses or will we hear another round of stories like the one Gusau is peddling around now that the FIFA fee covers even match bonuses.
Our Journalist should learn to ask sensible, deep and “the right” questions when conducting interviews please.
Fortunately, the girls have many teammates in clubs that released players for the world cup. I trust FIFA even to announce when federations have been paid. Any mago mago with their funds, I trust oshoala and co will even boycott WAFCON qualifiers that are even against two countries, first time ever for the falcons because of no podium finish. My mind dey tell me say “loud mouth Waldrum” according to NFF spokesman who used to be a fine journalist before, would have been sacked on flimsy excuse so that he would not further expose the misfits in glass house. Only time.
THIS LADY IS JUST SUCKING UP TO KEEP HER JOB,
MADAM! IF IT IS THERE IN BLACK AND WHITE AS YOU SO BOLDLY STATED WAS IT NOT THERE IN BLACK AND WHITE WHEN YOU HAVE BEEN EMBEZZLING MONEY ALL ALONG?. WHY HAVE YOU PEOPLE BEEN OWING THEM MONEY KEMBGE??.. YEYE PEOPLE SORRY FOR YOU NO MONEY TO CHOP NTOOO GI ALL OF UNA THERE MUMU PEOPLE!.
NFF should be ashamed of themselves. Now the whole world knows about their nefarious activities. I don’t know why EFCC is yet to investigate them.
Eyaaa, NFF is so harworking! Unu dey try ooo!
You know making payment is very hard work, so NFF want to step in and assist FIFA. That’s so nice of NFF!
Thanks so much guys. We really appreciate your zeal and willingness in this matter. But your help is not needed at this time. FIFA is capable and willing to do the “tedious” job of paying the players directly.
Agbada don hook barbwire sotey agbada don begin tear. FIFA has been forced to intervene directly in this issue because of NFF onigbese doings.
NFF, please keep your distance from that money. E jina sowo yen!
Nobody is even talking about how this poor girls will make it past Almighty England among nff officails. They are so concern about the sharing formula of money that belongs to these girls.
Shey won fowo shepe fun awọn kan ni Nigerian yi ganni
Who is paying the money has announced who he is paying the money to but these
corrupt souls are still deceiving themselves…….I don’t blame these people I only blame to gullible fans who listen to their different stories anytime they play their nonesense film tricks……I don’t blame these people I blame the gullible fans who manufacture excuses for them anytime they start their “more you look the less you see” games……..If not for corruption many player won’t smell SE talk more of commanding a regular run of games in the national team……If not for corruption Gift Orban, Victor Boniface, Alhassan yusuf, Rapheal Onyedika,Troynne Ebuehi, and many more talented players would have been enjoying a great run of games after their last seasons run of games at club level……God will judge everyone who is involved in this evil and the judgement of God will not spare even those that urge them on…..AMEN
An absolute bonkering hogwash from Mrs. Falode. Nah nada not going to work cos your tricks of yesteryears have expired and that goes for the other Nff Officials as well.
FIFA President stated FIFA deals with football associations. So the money will be paid to the NFF. Time for the FGN to assure the world the players will receive the money asap. With evidence of transfer or withdrawal.
Ehn?? Chaii!
Which way Nigeriaaaaa???
If I hear that any player did not get their money enh!
I’m sure that there is some money accrued to the NFF for their country participation and qualification progresses in the competition so I beg you BFF ” no chop your own plus another person own oo. Let every one get their pay and you would be proud of yourselves Nigeria would be proud of you”
