Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, has told the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) to pay the Super Falcons whatever money is being owed the players.
Wright said this on Thursday following the Super Falcons’ 3-2 win over Australia in their second group match of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Reacting after Nigeria defeated co-hosts, Australia 3-2 at the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup on Thursday, Wright urged NFF to do the needful.
Pay them!!!!!! @thenff ???? Ian Wright [] The post Pay the Super Falcons – Arsenal legend Ian Wright tells NFF
Recall that Super Falcons Coach, Randy Waldrum has been at loggerheads with the NFF in recent weeks over different issues ranging from the team list for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, preparations and non-payment of salaries.

NFF I think una see una life, foreigner is the one now telling you guys what to do.
Ntoor NFF you have spread your dirty linen outside your corruption stinks
What some sychophants calling themselves ex-footballers could not do, a foreigner is doing. Shame on them.
All we hear from them is telling the coach what to do or telling the girls to go ahead and win. We barely see any of them fighting for the girls’ right.
You took this out of my mouth Debo.
It has taken a foreigner to do what our lazy, hungry, beggy beggy exinternationals have not done. They are all afriad to speak against the NFF incase they need a job from the NFF in future.
Who knows, they may even be jealous of the girls. $30k straight from Fifa isnt small money. Most of them never got 30k on any national assignment…so i wont be surprised if they dont feel pushed to fight for the girls.
Bro, FIFA don back down oh on that pledge in the name of “association of associations”. They are now paying the money to member associations to distribute to their players. I still read it today. Sad for the volte face
Please kindly share that link.
I need to read it too.
It’s not true, they are going to pay directly to player, although some country’s argued they already had a well structure payment arrangements with their players, of which the agreement was signed by the players hence they want fifa to pay directly to the federation’s account.
No African nations can say they have such arrangements. Fifa may use their discretion to handle the matter

FIFA can’t guarantee federations will pay promised $30,000 per player at Women’s World Cup
It is on USAtoday and on various sites posted on the 18th, eve of the tournament
I read it too, and am really surprised. We know the kind of people we have in the NFF. I hope when that time reaches, our gallant girls will not be denied what is due them. I see this team qualifying for the second round stage, and you know what that means for the girls. Each going home with at least £60,000 (#48,000,000). Omo see money!
Even the great Ian Wright in faraway England has heard about the corruption in the NFF
Ian Wright, abeg please help us and shout it from the rooftops.
Tell NFF Ajewomasan to pay the coaches and players. Even if we did not get a good result today, they still deserve to be paid.
I’m just soaking in this monumental result by the SF. Incredible performance by the team. Forging ahead and achieving success inspite of the NFF.
Congrats to the whole team!
This is a big shame on NFF.
Not only a big shame but a big disgrace for Gusau, the NFF Chairman, Anyansi, the first deputy and the entire boAlard members. Well they don’t know shame but go about accusing the ladies for fighting for their legitimate right. Even now they are yet to pay Pessiro and the local coaches. their money. We continue to have set of incompetent, corrupt insensitive sets of NFF every 4years.God Almighty must save us and rescue our sports from all these unqualified sets of people. God bless Nigeria.
The truth is it is us feeling the shame. The ones in charge don’t care
Many thanks to Ian Wright for your concern. NFF has no shame. Now they are washing their dirty clothes outside. So sad. I have told you we are coming for NFF. Congratulations Super Falcons. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
Members note of this incompetent NFF and the board members will soon accuse Ian Wright of meddling into our AFFAIRS instead of burying their heads in shame and repent from their evil ways. They always have reason(s) to justify for their evil actions. If they don’t repeat they will reap definitely what they are sowing (mark it) because that is the principle God Almighty used in creating the world. NFF members repent before it’s too late. God bless Nigeria

Chaiiii….. See disgrace….. Where can I hide my face in shame oooooo????
Now I understand why all these our foreign borns rarely anticipate the idea of switching allegiance to Nigeria…..
So the entire world is aware of this shambolic drama of our NFF?
How did we get to this point?
Ian Wright now begging the NFF to pay outstanding bonuses of our super falcons .
Hahahahaha……
NFF, una mumu no too much????
Nigerians still respecting/ regarding these thieving politicians, now calling themselves sports administrators are the ones I honestly feel more ashamed of.
These are pure local champions who cannot stand on same pedestal as their counterparts in even the smallest and less developed countries like Chad.
The only bragging right they win is against the very impoverished Nigerian populace. They dare not step out of the shores of Nigeria to raise their ugly faces/head or they get some dirty slaps from kids only as old as their grand children on those empty dead brain heads.
