Nigeria’s Super Falcons defeated Costa Rica 1-0 in their third and final fixture at the 2023 Revelations Cup in Mexico in the early hours of Wednesday.

Going into the game against Costa Rica, the Falcons had lost their last seven games.

Victory at long last! Well done ladies
The coach need genuine advice..u don’t just put people on the field to run around. They needed to take their chance or chances and not mother luck all the time . U can see that goal scored .there was a planning stage and a clinical finished.. u don get that all the time. But it was planned hence the goal and the win . This has been lacking. Check Zambia ladies and other games the falcon has lost.
With this win the coach can now build on this . Get ur defense which is ok , improve on the engine room plan to attack with one or two fast break to the middle and the corner area and the scorer with one stop pass or shot or lob into the net ..not all the struggles to score and eventually losing 7 matches in a roll. With this set of good players .
Played very scrappy, without flair, as if they have no coach and are no professionals.
BTW, what has the Wardrobe coach brought to the team? 5 months before world is enough yo sack him and bring a native coach who already has the knowldge of the team.
This wardrobe guy can’t guve us even a win at the WC.
Pls what was the starting Eleven ? I want to know if Oshoala played the three games and what was her impact giving she the the highest goal scorer in female football in Europe top five leagues
Portugal just beat Cameroon to the world cup ticket after a nail biting and thoroughly entertaining encounter that ended 2:1.
Estel Johnson was inconsolable as her last ditch sliding tackle gifted Portugal the penalty that sealed their first ever world cup ticket ahead of the great Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon.
Thank you CAF. Thank you for dubious and criminal zonal qualification formula.
– Ghana is staying at home.
– Ivory Coast is staying at home.
– Now the great Cameroon will also be staying at home.
Thanks to CAF, debutants Morocco and underdogs Zambia will be representing Africa at the World Cup.
Senegal also failed to qualify for the Women’s World Cup having lost to 4:0 to Haiti last week.
Caf can as well play the WWC themselves
Once again I couldn’t watch the match after only 5 mins because the players don’t understand themselves, anyone who allow the scoreline to deceive them is on their own. My only expectation this year is on the U17 because Nduka Ugbade is the only coach that got his job on merit. The rest of our national team is on God. I will watch but I will not put my emotions on them…. We will be facing top 20 teams and solid coaches at the women’s world cup so I don’t want to kill myself with yahoo yahoo expectations. This new NFF president doesn’t even show face to address anything, oga is worse than Pinnick because to me he doesn’t even understand the Game at all. I am going to order PS5 and start playing league at my leisure time because the expectations from Nigeria teams can put a stain on your real life if care is not taken. Nobody should blame Oshoala for not honouring invitation because she knows her match form will be triggered by Waldrum who is coach a university team and Nigeria at the same time. Can you imagine???
Aptly captured @Akunde and @Chima. I fear for this team playing scrappy football. To complete few passes was a problem, no intelligence. If VAR was used we would have conceded a penalty courtesy of one Oluwatosin Demehin who would always raise her arms to hit an opponent’s face. With what I have seen recently from this team, my earnest conclusion is that THERE IS NO HOPE unless something drastic is done between now and the world cup
Hallelujah! A win at last! Could this be a pause to the losing games or a beginning of winning. I guess is the former rather than the latter because the coach is still in charge.
Whatever be the case, we are watching.
This wardrobe of a coach na yeye coach
