Organizers of the Onitsha City marathon say this year’s edition of the race will no longer be held.
Philip Balepo, the race’s deputy project manager says in a statement that the race organisers and their marketing partner have decided to cancel this year’s edition but gives no reason for the decision.
“The general public is hereby notified that the 2023 Onitsha City Marathon, OCM, will no longer be held. We, the Main Organising Committee, MOC, in conjunction with our Marketing Partners, GLS PROJECTS, look forward to the 2024 edition. For every inconvenience, kindly bear with us,” wrote Balepo in the press statement.
