The Guinea-Bissau senior men’s national team will depart for Nigeria on Tuesday morning ahead of the first leg of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers against the Super Eagles in Abuja.
According to a statement on the Guinea-Bissau national team Facebook page the Djurtus will stop over in Senegal’s capital Dakar, where they will stay at one of the hotels before heading to Nigeria.

After the game in Abuja, the team will depart on a chartered flight back to Bissau for the reverse fixture billed for 27th March.
This will be the second time the Super Eagles and Guinea-Bissau will clash at senior international level.
The first time both teams met was in the group stage of the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon which the Eagles won 2-0.
