Three new players; Jordan Torunarigha, Gift Orban and Victor Boniface were named in the squad.
Nigeria, on 12 points from their previous five matches, are already guaranteed a place in the finals, but must earn at least a point to be sure of topping the group ahead of second-placed Guinea Bissau, who are on 10 points and play at home to Sierra Leone in Bissau.
The Super Eagles pummeled the Falcons 10-0 when both teams met in the reverse fixture last November.
Cote d’Ivoire will host the competition from January 13 to February 11, 2024.

Why no friendly after Sao tome. It would have been good for team building
Ejuke Chidera deserves to be in the team. He is the best dribbler of the Super Eagles. He is far better than Samuel Chukwueze and Moses Simon.
Ejuke, where you dey?
We refuse to give up on this boy. The talent is there. The boy na onye egwu. A dancer with the ball.
End product is the issue. He tends to over dribble and is wasteful in front of goal. If he works on these, the sky is the beginning.
This our squad list ehn! Na real overkill. Loaded list. Dem wan take machine gun kill chicken.
No complain from my side sha. Whether na Argentina we dey play, or na Cayman Islands, we have to always put our best foot forward. Only the best players every time.
Ejuke is a negative player, he dribbles more and more without scoring goals and granting attackers through passes or excellent crosses ; he is not better than Simon Moses and Chukwueze who perform these roles above mentioned.
It doesn’t matter the opponent. This is the time to be blending this players and giving them as much opportunity to gel together.
Other Countries released thier list on time and are arriving in camp to top it off these Countries have friendlies too in this window. Tell me is allowing thier team to gel better? Hmmmm I hope this is one of the things the New Sports minister addresses we cannot revert back to the times that cost us missing out on on 2 Afcons…..
We must straighten that out asap.
The camp opens on Wednesday, 4 days to the match. Hmmmmmmmm. How many training sessions will they have, knowing full well thst many of our players are coming together for the first time. Some players won’t show up until Friday or Saturday. Yet we want results to roll in. Gasau, u na well done.
