Chelsea legend John Terry has criticized England manager, Gary Southgate’s tactical changes in the team’s goalless draw against USA in Friday’s 2022 World Cup game.
The former England captain was baffled by what he described as Southgate’s “negativity” during the boring draw against the USA.
Terry, a former Chelsea captain, said Southgate has refused to learn the lessons from previous tournaments.
He told beIN Sport: “Disappointed with some of the tactical changes they were very negative from our point of view.
“We’ve spoken about Gareth, and he can learn from his mistakes previously. For me, personally, I would have done things differently; how we’ve not seen Foden on the pitch is beyond me.
‘He’s one of our best talents, and I’d love to see him on the pitch.”
