The Black Stars will depart Accra for Kumasi on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 to begin preparation for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 playoff first leg tie against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Ghana Football Association (GFA) disclosed this on their official website on Sunday.
On Wednesday March 23, the team will train and on Thursday they will have their first training inside the Baba Yara Stadium.
Also on Thursday, there will be media engagement for Otto Addo and his players.
The first leg will hold on Friday, 25th March while the return leg is billed for the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
While the Eagles are eyeing a seventh World Cup appearance, Black Stars are targeting a fourth outing.
The last time both teams met in the qualifiers for the World Cup was for the 2002 edition in Korea/Japan, with the Eagles picking the ticket.

Wow GHANA is a special Country!!
Don’t mind them @Mayans. It’s still part of their dirty game, throwing up a fake list of invitees to try to confuse their opponents. They got to the second round underservedly, using dirty trick to cheat South Africa out and they’re continuing with all the hide and seek.
Yet their baby vuvuzelas here keep spewing trash about an non-existent threat. Even Jordan is in doubt as he’s contracted Covid. I wonder who’ll be playing. Forget all the noise, even our current U23 or B team will down this weak team. They can’t qualify against any of the remaining 9 teams in Africa – not even Mali, DRC or Tunisia. The other deranged idiot will soon come here and be shouting his lungs out “mark my words and yada yada dusts” – More like he’s wishing.
As for the Monkey boy up their, I’ve never seen a more classic case of cowardice. All he’s doing is burying his head in the sand like an ostrich and sitting on the fence, so he can celebrate either way and say “Didn’t I say so..?” So he’s trying to prepare a soft landing for himself, deceiving only himself that it is “objective analysis.” And when Nigeria zips those people’s mouth and silence the stadium, he’ll say his objective criticism helped. Lol. COWARDICE wearing a cloak of commentary.
You once supported their strategy, why are you worried now?
